Hi I am team mom for my sons tball team (3-4 year olds). I was wanting some ideas and to get your response. They have a banner contest and want some ideas for that. Also about trophies the league does not provide them I was wanting to get some for the team, should the parents pay for them or should the coach and team mom get together and buy them for the team, they cost about $7-12 each not a lot but what sould we ask of the parents. Also what about having the end of the season party, at chuck e cheese or should we have it at a park i know the park will be cheaper and fun for the kids. What about stuff for the parents to wear for game days do you thing that they would like something made up for them. Yall let me know and if you can think of anything else let me know. We sent home donation letter with our children. It worked wonderful and we raised like 800 dollars. There was plenty of money to do all kinds of things with them. Some people gave $10 and some gave $50 . By the time it works through one family, friends, co-worker and so forth. It raises alot of money. Yes I think they will enjoy Chucky Cheese better.
Here's my opinion... what's the point of children under five playing organized sports? Some of them can barely talk and they don't even know how to throw... there are some exceptions (like Tiger Woods) that are amazing at the ages of three and four, but most suck and can't even hit the ball off the tee.
Save your coach lots of headaches and take your kid off of the team and play with him in the backyard. That's what moms are for. Organized sports are for children with organized brains... If you're not old enough to read, you're not old enough to play on a team.
