If you're referring to high school, probaby because ya'll are all still minors. Children, basically. And should not be displaying affection publicly. That's pushing some kind of boundary, legally.

They may not feel the same way. School officials are charged with overseeing children during classes and that means preventing them from pawing all over each other. It's their parents, administrators and even lawmakers who make the rules, no matter how you may see things.

I am asuming from your name that you are about 13 years old, which means you are in middle school, which means you should not even be worried about having someone to PDA wih.
Just because you think it is ok, does not make it ok.children kissing in the hallways is just wrong, you should be getting your books out of your locker for your next class. School is for learning, learning how to kiss is not on the academic schedual.

School is for learning how to be a productive citizen! This is not the 'hippy era', where everyone loved everyone else. Keep your pda to after school only. Remember, you can't get a job by just knowing how to show affection to people and you can't get into college by it either.

School isnt a social party, its not a place to focus on the physical aspects of being a teenager.
School is about getting an education, so later, as an adult, you can afford yourself the time to do things such as touching and hugging and making out and so on.
Its not about being popular, having friends, or having a social life, its SCHOOL, where you LEARN subjects like math and science so you can get a job.
PDA isnt needed at school. It doesnt pertain to your furthered education.

I think they might have trouble drawing a line, so instead they just say not at all. Certain pda behaviors like holding hands, conservative hugs, and quick and very conservative kisses are appropriate but no one wants to see other people making out or worse. There are things that people do anyway but don't do in public (going to the bathroom comes to mind as well as many kinds of pda). In my opinion anything that isn't appropriate in public isn't appropriate for unmarried people to do at all anywhere. If you can't do it in front of your grandma you shouldn't be doing it at all. There are certain things that are worth waiting for. Keep it to holding hands and conservative hugs and you will be glad you did when you get married.

It is discoraged just about any school. The security officers get made because it is not acceptable in society (in terms of making out). The students could careless. Hugging and "proper" touching is okay. High schools are a little more easy-going with hugging than middle schools.
