A tween is a tween. Usually between the ages of 10 and 12. "Mature child" is an oxymoron. A child is not mature. They may be mature for their age, but no child is mature. A teen is someone who is in their teens. I might be considered, loosely, to be a teen, as I don't turn 20 for another 5 months.
