How do i deal with a prejudice boss?? my boss is very racist. Ive been working at this one company for 2 years

andi only get paid 14 hour and i have a bachelors degree in accounting but he hired his niece and shes a highschool graduate no college and she is administrative assistant and has only been working there 3 months!and makes 22 an hour!! this isnt fair. who should i report this to i mean i dont wanna get fired but what should i do?

Answer:
ask him for a raise if he says no don't do as much work.
what does nepotism (giving power/preference to FAMILY) have to do with racism...you know, it's not always about race...

...and technically, in any job, it's none of your business what another employee makes...and this is why that's a good rule...

...nothing illegal about it either, so there's no-one to "report it to"
Is your immediate boss the owner of the company? If not I would go over his head and report him to Human Resources, or to HIS boss. If he is the owner of the company I don't think there is much you can do. Also, most workplaces have a policy about not discussing wages of other employess, so even though you are the book-keeper and you know how much everyone makes, make sure that you do not disclose this info to other people at your job.
How do you know hes prejudice?
How does that make him a racist? I think the correct term in BIASED. He's biased in favour of his own family and that has nothing to do with her race it's her blood. That is really injust.

You should go to your local better business bureau and report him for being BIASED. If you say racist they'll probably roll their eyes at you and tell you to go away.

When you go to the better business bureau: stay objective, stay to the point, and DO NOT refer to their race as if you do your case could be dismissed.
welll, thats just plain eww!!

i mean, tell him to stop it! U may get fired but, find a new job if you have a good background or good history!

good luck

All of these websites should be very helpful. The second one tells you different ways of reporting the problem. I really hope everything works out and changes are made.
Sue.

It's the only way.

You'll bring in the money, that's for sure. If you told us the truth, there's no way you can lose.
It's nepotism. This doesn't prove that he's racist. It just proves he believes in keeping money w/in the family. Now if you two had the same credentials and the $$ situation was the same it could be because:
1. He thinks she's attractive (and it has been proven that attrative ppl can sometimes get better pay then ppl bosses don't consider attractive)
2. Or...well ya know.

As unfair, annoying, and wrong as it is, it's not racism.
