HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS, My 14 year old daughter is always asking friends for money at school. She says everyone?

does this. Is this true? Do high school girls regularly ask and receive money from their friends at your high school?

Answer:
that's not normal and actually is probably damaging her reputation. People may not openly tell someone that they need to stop asking for money but they will for sure talk about that person behind their back. That is a really bad quality to have, would you remain friends with someone that kept asking you for money? chances are you would run, that's annoying and I've never had anyone ask me for money on a regular basis. If they did they always paid me back, otherwise they would have a reputations as a "mooch". She really needs to stop that and you should be providing her with the things she needs.
They never did when I went to school or when my daughter went to school...your daughter sounds like a mooch.
I never did. But then , my friends would hav wanted it payed back, and I didn't get much allowance. I would advise her to not get in the habit of being in debt.
To my friends I'm known as the ATM. But I give them money when they desperately need it. Like when they didn't bring a lunch and forgot money to buy some. I'm not going to let a friend go hungry. But for everything else...they're on their own.
not much money. like 80 cents to buy a soda from the vending machine. and usually its paid back.
Embarrassing isn't it yes my daughter does to she gets a packed lunch everyday and twice a week she get as we call it tuck shop but she comes home and says that she is going to scab of her friends at school so that she can buy something i offer her money and says naaa i will just scab so yes it happens in my house hold to.
From my experience, I only ask for money when I don't have any and need some for food or a coffee or something of the sort... and most of the time I am expected to pay them back, unless they feel they owe me something or they feel like doing me a favor.

Also, I'm only asked for money when the person who asks for it needs it, and unless I tell them it's okay, they always pay me back as well.
its not like ALL girls do this, guys do it too...when you are friends with someone, you can usually borrow money from them ,and give it back at an appropriate time too. ppl just do this because they dont have lunch money or something, its no big deal as long as she pays her friends back!
First of all money for what? Like if I forgot my lunch money I asked to borrow it from a friend, on occsian but I am a senior now, with a job so I never have this problem. Maybe you should find out what the money is for and who she is getting it from. Could she be saving it for a special reason, or does she feel you aren't giving her enough money ( I've felt that way a time or two).Talk with her, her friends, and teachers about it. Best Wishes and I hope the anwser helped
no im not a moocher
sometimes i ask people for like a quarter or something if i need it to buy lunch. but i usually pay them back uness they say for me to "just keep it."
As a 10th grader, I'd have to say yes they do.it's not tlike they ask for twenty dollars though, it's usually a small amount like maybe a dollar or a quarter. Boys do it too mind you.
yes when there to lazy to get a job...most high school kids work and make there own money.she's in high school so she shouldnt be doing this anymore...she needs to get a job.you couldnt figure this out on your own??
