She could (anything is possible),
but chances are that she doesn't, because after all, she is in 8th grade, and if she has the confidence to mess with you/your phone, she will probably like an 8th/older grade guy.
however, from your previous posts, a lot of girls seem to like you, so you never know.
also, she could just be messing with you because that is what 8th grade girls do, or she was hyper, and felt like doing that (13 yr old girls do crazy/stupid things when theyre hyper)
plus you have a cool phone, and its always fun to mess with phones
but, like you said, if you like someone and they like you, why should it matter?
my advice is stick with your current, and if she doesn't like you/dumps you, you can try to date valerie/tiffany
or, bring it up as a joke, and ask her if she likes you
or you can try and get them to play truth or dare and then ask who they like

No man, sounds like she is using you. Im 13. Girls tend to do that. No offence to any girls here, but you know its true. ;) Or i could be wrong, its hard to tell from that 1 example.
