I have heavy periods now.any advice on why i could be heavy like it is?
Answer:
Brown blood is indicative of old blood. It's possible you were pregnant and miscarried. This happens much more often than previously thought--something like 1/4 of all conceptions end in a miscarriage, mostly so early the woman doesn't even know she was pregnant.
It's also possible that with stress or other factors, you just missed a period.
Take notes of your dates, your flow, any cramping and symptoms. If you have a repeat in your next cycle, then see your CNM/OB-gyn.
You didn't say how old you are, so it could be menopause.
go see your gyno
There are SEVERAL things that can cause heavy periods...most of which should be addressed by your gynocologist. Endometriosis, Ovarian cysts, or even miscarriage. You should DEFINATELY have it checked out by your doctor. Just because you started bleeding doesnt mean you weren't pregnant. I have had 3 miscarraiges, so I do know this to be true. Go to the emergency room if need be...but see someone...quickly!
i would go and see a dr. not every woman has a 'month'ly period. i never did til i got on ortho evera patch. and NO, i never had any side effects, other than weight gain, which all birth control has ALL the same side effects.
I would just say that your system is cleaning itself out good. drink some cranberry juice. I have had very thick blood 'globs' also, and the dr said to watch if they get bigger than a size of a dime, it could be that there is something wrong.
take care, don't worry the dr. will fix it!
it was heavy because you've haven't had your period in 2 months go to you gyno for help
Talk to your doctor if you're concerned. If you're not having sex and you've started your period within the last year or so, it could just be that your period is still pretty irregular and that's normal in the beginning. Heavy, dark periods aren't totally uncommon. You may want to try getting exercise (like walking) on your period and eating lighter foods- that helps me.
