would you survive if..you fell off a moving truck, rolled into a ditch, a hobo came over and started licking your toes, and he took an ax and started hacking your leg off!

Anything is possible. I think you could survive if you fell out of a truck and lost your leg. It's not likely, but it is possible. I've heard of people jumping out of airplanes with a failing parchute and living through it.
