Having my arm restrained, for a Blood Test. What will happen ?

Answer:
I have had blood tests done, as well as given blood, and my arm was never "restrained". I simply set my arm on the arm of the chair, the nurse would wrap something around my upper arm to make my veins more readily visible if necessary, use a wipe to clean and disinfect the testing site, and then the needle went in. There was no restraining.
they tie down your arm and stick a big needle into it and you have to sit there for 5 minutes just waiting. i had to get one when i had mono. just don't look at it and try not to panic and you should be fine. again, DO NOT look at the needle. I didn't mind, but its still a little eerie. Best finding a spot on the wall and staring at it.
I have had blood taken many times and it was never restrained. I don't know why they would restrain it. I put my arm on the arm of the chair and the nurse wrapped a rubber band type thing around the top of my arm and poked me with a needle that's it. It pinched but nothing major and I got a bruise the next day but nothing to worry about
If you have it restrained, you are obviously phobic of needles or have a hard time doing blood tests. Usually the arm of the chair will have two or three ties that go across it and they strap you arm down.

If you can do it without it at all it would be a lot better because when your arm is restrained you lose all sense of control and sometime that makes having the needle even worse...
Who told you that your arm would be restrained? I've never had to do that to get blood from a patient. They just stick a small needle in and withdraw the blood. A bee sting hurts worse.
