No, not all girls have to be girly girl, I'm not and I'm finishing up with puberty. Yeah, I like some girly stuff like make up and if there's a guy I like then I'll try to look a bit prettier, but I'm not a total girly girl, I'd rather wrestle and tease with my brothers then have a girl give me a make-over. Don't worry, there are other girls like you out there.
Don't worry about it. I dated a tomgirl for a long time. She was the best girlfriend I've had because she didn't make a big deal out of stupid things.
Im in 6th grade and I hang out with mostly guys too. A lot of girls get along with guys better than girls, guys aren't as pissy as girls. It's ok dont think its wierd.

My G.F. is just like you. She always says she grew up under the hood of a chevelle. She is 33 . As you can see you don't have to be "girly" but it does make us guys feel a little better to be the night in shining armor.

Of course note babe! I was a tomboy up until my freshman year of highschool, and I still am, just more "girly", and I'm a senior now. I went through the same phase, I tried to be more girly. You be who you are, always! You'll find all girls to be different. "Tom-boy", "Girly-girl". Especially once you escape middle school. You be whoever, not all girls are like that. You don't have to be like that if you don't want to. It is just something girls go through, they slowly start to like more and more "girly" things, but many don't. Don't worry about it, you're too young to worry about.

I am a girl, and I do like to get dressed up and go shopping and stuff, but I LOVE to hunt, fish, play pool, ride 4 wheelers, etc... My husband loves the fact that I enjoy everything he does.. Besides.. you want to be yourself and believe me, others want you to be your true self. Definitly do not become girly cause everyone else is... I love the fact that I can get dirty one day and the next look dolled up... It's nice to choose.. Stick to who you are and just be yourself!! I guarantee you half of those girls do it cause they think it's the cool think to do and they think it will get them a boyfriend.. In the long run, it won't work! Good luck hon!

Hahaha. You will not change into "them" at puberty. You will become more interested in guys and stuff but believe me you can be a tomboy and date at the sametime. I still don't even own a hairdryer to this day and I am expecting my first child and am a mechanic in the Air Force. Just remember guys like girls they can relate to in the end whether they know it or not. So enjoy life an love being a "Tomboy".
how old are you? i have a 17yr old daughter and she was a tomboy too, well when she hit 13 she changed . she started doing the girl thing but its still good . she still has tomboy in her when it comes to hanging out with the guys . But when she with the girls she gets dressed up ... so don't worry you wont lose it . it will always be there . One day you will want to be a girly girl ! ^-^
I'm in middle school to and all the girls are the same way. don't worry.I don't think it's puberty. I'm a tomboy. I like football, wrestling, getting dirty outside. I think all the girls are like that because they think all the boys will be after them. If you don't want to be like them then don't. It's your decision and if you want to be a tomboy then be one. If your still concerned talk to your parents they'll sure have the answers to your question.
Really good question. No, you don't have to be girly. I never was. As you become more comfortable doing what you like and wearing what you like, etc. More and more people will be attracted to you either as friends or more.

when you say girly what do you mean, like holister, AE preppy or like OMG MY NAIL I JUST HAD THESE MANICURED!! u know. i mean i cant stand omg my nail kinda girls. me being a girl, im known as a tomboy, i can hang with the guys play some tackle football. hang with the girls go shopping. i can clean up well. i do take time to look presentable everyday, but not to the point where im like those super duper mushy girly types, i dont even own an AE. im in high skool, and i know exactly how you feel. i wuld get jeliouse b.c they got all the hot skater boys, but i noticed that they are more sociable, so be ur self. in 7th grade for me, i was myself and i was respected and well liked. and it has nothing to do with puberty, just mentally growing up and finding who you are. just remember that not all preppy girls are super super mushy girly girls. try making friends with them, theyre not that different, they just buy more expensive clothes. BE YOURSELF and dont worry what others think.
Beautiful screen sirens like Charlotte Rampling and Honore Blackman all claim to have been tomboys during their teens. Not all girls have to be 'fluffy' or giggly after puberty. Just go with the flow and don't worry about being judged.

No not all girls have to be like that. I am in middle school and all the "popular" girls seem to be like that. I'm just all whatever, because I seriously DONT care. Sure all the guys may go after them, but once they figure ou the true person they are, they come to conclusion that they are just s.l.u.t.s I am also a tomboy for the most part, because I am really sporty. I also like to shop on the other side. So I am in the middle. You are not alone. :)
