the worse thing you can do is nag your boyfriend. Although you are his girlfriend also be his best friend. Don't always look for the hugs and things like that. Guys aren't too quick to show there feelings as girls are. Give it a minute let him get used to the idea of having a girlfriend. Guys love girls who aren't drama queens (not calling you one), they want that girl that can switch rolls when ever they need. Like girlfriend one minute, best friend the one they can confide in the next. So just be cool it will work out.
Yes, he most likely still likes you. 7th grade... Boys then are just giong through puberty and are immature. I had a boyfriend in 7th grade JUST like that! Your boyfriend is not sure what to do. He feels awkward becoming your girlfriend and having to act more like a boyfriend that how he was before, when he was just a friend. You might want to talk about it with and ask what's going on. It's probably one of two things if he really likes you. Either:
1. He may be nervous- especially if you guys just started going out. Give him time, he'll warm up to you
or
2. Not all boys are into the whole arm around you holding hands hugging thing- especially not around the boyz. I saw a lot of this when i was in middle school but now that i'm in high school, it's the total opposite. Holding hands, kissing, hugging all in the middle all of the hallway when youre trying to run for your bus. This is a phase, he'll get over it. He's young.
Besides, i think that it's cute that he's kind of shy. I wish more boys were like that nowadays. Now theyre just straight up nasty and just want to show off in front of their friends. Enjoy it while it lasts.
