Acacia??

What's your view on this name? I pronounce ay-kay-shuh.

Answer:
Stupid in my opinion.Acacia is a plant and I have never heard it as a name but I think children will make fun of her.Why not something normal like Gracie, Jamie-Lynn, Amber, Sesilia, Kaylynne, Ivette, Briana?
looks more like a c o c k i a , she'll be ridiculed for years...
Sounds really good and has a nice ring to it
it's ok, sorta sounds like a star wars name
I really like it.
Sounds like a skin irritation.*
i have always loved this name it sounds beautiful
not my style
its the name of my moother in laws rottie. She has called her that for 4 years. what the back ground of that name?
its cute, but no my favorite, but def. unique!
It sounds to me like a diagnosis more than it does a name for a person---
I absolutely love that name... My daughter is due in March and i was deciding between Acacia or Aviva... I chose Aviva but it was close! I pronounced it ah-say-shuh, but that was what i guessed how you pronounced it... I really dont know...
i love it! its unique, and really cool. the only thing is that it is spelled like Acadia, which is bottled seltzer.
It sounds great. It is my favorite name. If you like that name you dont to listen what others say because may they never heard that name.
nice name
I am not sure on this one...it reminds me of a Geisha. I do think that Anastasia is cute and it is very similar.
I have always liked this name, but I pronounce it Uh-KAY-see-uh.
Makes me think of Arcadia
not bad. caci/kaci could be a cute nickname.
How about what you think might sound beautiful as a spoken word but with the practical part of the child being able to spell it and teachers able to pronounce it... everyday I have a student tell me how to pronounce their name... Shaquana couldn't spell her name until she was in 5th grade, really. Think of syllables too, anything more than necessary, well... it is unnecessary...in the end Catalina, they live with their name, I have a friend who's mother was way cool in the name game and just gave her an initial for a middle name and told her when she was ready to use thte middle intial and make her name what she wanted to... so she changed it form Stacy K. Flanigan to Kiss Flanigan a few years ago... great move on her mother's part...
When you think of names for a baby you should ask yourself if you'd like to be called by that name(every minute of your life) before giving the baby that name!

Personally I wouldn't want to hear someone call me the name you are considering.
It's cute but will be prone to mispronunciation. I like Acadia (a-KAY-dee-ah) too.
very different-but you do realize it will have to be explained to everyone 24/7
its a nice name
it's beautiful!
How about "Acacia Marie"?
definitely unique (and i like unique) i would use it. just be prepared for alot of mispronunciations. just correct people when they do this and please dont be rude about it
