About a middle name?

We wanted to honor our dear sweet Irish grandmothers by giving our daughter an Irish middle name and one of their names or a form of it. My grandmother's name is Kathleen, and is grandmother's is Maureen. What do you think about these? Any other Irish name suggestions?

I like Kathleen, it has a better ring to it.

I think Eva Maureen is lovely.

We hyphenated both of our daughters grandmother's names for her middle name (one of which is Maureen), although her other grandma has a short first name. Her name is Aidyn Ella-Maureen. I love the idea of honoring a special family member this way, it's a big tradition in my husbands family.

I personally think it's a very sweet idea to do that. I like both of them, seeing as they both come from your grandmothers. I like them how they are, but if you're looking for variants you could try Eva Kate, or Eva Mary. Good luck!

What a beautiful way to honour a family member, I really like them both and I doubt you can go wrong here. That said, my fave is Eva Kathleen. I'm irish and here are some names I really like in case you'd like some other options:

Kitty is a shortened form of Kathleen, and it's nice, but Eva Kathleen might sound better. Ryan is an Irish (?) boy's name.
