What do you think of the name Jevon (pronounced Juh-von). I have also seen it spelled Javon.

I think you should stick to a name that is popular and pretty straight forward. Life is tough enough and kids are cruel. I know my parents actually named me Lola after someone I never even knew. I changed it legally but I hated the first few weeks of school before everyone especially the teachers finally got my name right. A lot depends on the kid and the circumstances. Go with something that does not draw attention and gives the kid a break if he is not the most popular in the class. I named my son Matt.guess what he turned out to be fat...Fat Matt! Not only that but Matthew...P U Mathew. Look at all the angles and pick a name that is easy, quick and memorable.
