This probably will sound weird, but I recommend reading the book "Freakonomics," by Steven D. Levitt and Stephen J. Dubner. Don't let the title scare you, it's a fun and easy read.
It has a section in it about names - not so much "this name is good, this name is bad," but more in line with categories of names that tend to have children who do well in school, pursue continued education and have career success.

well, i think you should wait until the baby is born so you can make sure the name you pick fits the baby. a unique boy name is something wacky, like, isadore or isaiah
Dont call him Aaron. That is the 1st name in the baby book and its just pure lazy! (sos to people called aaron, i got that joke off Micheal McIntyre)
