Having a difficult to spell name myself, I would highly recommend the spelling you're using, 'Madison'. Who would want to spend a big chunk of their life just spelling their name for people? I certainly don't appreciate it.
I like Madison since you're giving your daughter a choice to either go by Madison or the nickname, Maddie. I like both. She could go by Maddie to her friends and family and go by Madison at work or for more formal and legal applications.
Great name, by the way. Madison is so strong and confident and Maddie is so sweet and feminine. Love it!!

This post is getting waaay too long. Anyway, I like any variation of Madison nicknamed down to Maddie, because you don't know which one she will like better. I named my daughter Jessica intending to call her Jessie. Lo and behold, she doesn't let anyone call her Jessie except for family! Lesson learned!
Maddison,Madeson, Madisson, Madissin, Madison, or Madisine. I do not like Madeson or Maddison, but the others I think are O.K. As for what to call her well, As a child "Maddie" sounds cool, but when she gets older I don't think she would waqnt to be called that any more. So, When it is tim to be serious you should call her Madison and when it is fun time call her Maddie. This way she will know the differents between these two moments and also get use to being called both.
i love the name maddie but maybe you could make her name madison with the nickname maddie!!
lol i love both those names

I love that :)
Madyson is a cute way to spell it, but I definitely prefer Maddie :)
i like maddie
I like Madison better - and the varieties of spelling this name are many but I like this way best!@~
madison
maddison
i like madison better. don't get me wrong i love the name madison, but if i had realized how many people named their children madison i might have chosen a different name. as far as maddie, i catch myself calling her that all the time as a nickname.
i like maddie. the different spellings are madyson, madison, madiyson, madason,
Madison is fine spelled the proper way. Maddie is cute but it's short for Madison, not a name in its own right. If you spell your child's name wrong, she'll spend the rest of her life having to apologise for having stupid parents.
I like Madison better, you can always call her Maddie for short
Madysin, Maddison, Madison, Madesin, Madesyn, Maddisen, Madisen, Maddyson, Madeson, Madisan, Maddison. There are a ton of different ways to spell it. I like Maddie best because it suits a little girl as well as an adult.
I have a child in my class (I'm a teacher) who's name is Madisyn. I didn't like the spelling at first but now it has kinda grown on me. I do like Maddie for a nickname.
personally, i LOVE that name! lol
madison
maddison
madyson
madisyn
maddysn
maddysn
i like madison better
and dont do the alternate spelling thing
its too played up and if its already a unique name already it doesnt matter how you spell it
I like Maddie better but you could shorten Madison 2 Maddie. i like madeliyn shorten it 2 maddie.
I have several friends who gave their kids nicknames for names. Drew, Lucy, Nate, Andy, Abby, I personally think that giving her the full name Madison will be better in the long run. She will always have the option of shortening to Maddie, but could use the more professional Madison at work etc. I prefer the traditional spelling also. Again, I wouldn't want my daughter to have to spell out her name everywhere she goes..."no, its Madison with a Y instead of an I" ;o)
I love Maddie as a nickname. Very cute. I love it as a nickname for Madalyn too.
There are tons of different spellings of Madison. I personally think that the way you wrote it is the prettiest. Just substute different vowles for the i and o and you can also double the d's and s's.
Take care! SD
I think most parents choose Madison specifically so that they can use Maddie as a nickname. Madison sounds nice, though not as feminine with the "son" in it compared to the supercute "Maddie". I've seen Madyson, Madysen, Maddison. I would suggest using only the Madison spelling! Changing the spelling does not make it more unique. People will always mispell her name, she will have to constantly correct people, because "Madison" is already beyond popular. In fact, this is why I would avoid such a popular name altogether. Madeline, nn Maddie, is another option which I think is much prettier anyway.
i personally like maddie better and i like the spelling maddy
Madysen, Madyson - And, yes, Maddie is a cute nickname. Madelyn is nice, too.
