What about Mackenzie Madison for a girl? People told me it's a last name or boys name.?

It's origin is of a Scottish clan (last name). I named my daughter Mackenzie, but I have also known people to name their boys Mackenzie as well. As long as you like it, it should not matter.
It is so not a boys name, i think it's very cute and i actually like it better for a girl
Up until about three years ago, I had always thought of it as a girls name, as I went to high school with a girl named Mackenzie. My parents neighbor went and named her son Mackenzie (they call him Mac now) but I still think of it as a girls name. So it can be used either way.

Mackenzie is for both girls and boys. There is an actress named Mckenzie Westmore. She is on Passions. Also on the Young and the Restless, there was a character named Mackenzie that is a girl.
Yes Mackenzie was origionally a boys name i guess, but now days you only see girls with that name. Thats what i was gonna name my baby if i had a girl, but it's a boy. It's way cuter for a girl!

A few years ago, it became popular to name girls gender neutral names - espcially former last names. For example: Reagan, Madison, Morgan, Taylor, etc. These are now considered girl names.
i think mackenzie (or however you would spell it) is a fine name for a girl. as a matter of fact one of my close friends has a little girl named mackenzie. i think you will always get critisism from everyone when you do decide to have a baby and need to pick a name, might as well get used to it now. anyhoo mackenzie madison is a beautiful name for a little girl!!
I have never known a boy named Mackenzie. I know there are some with that as a last name. It's an Irish last name. I do know 4 girls named that and one is my little sister-in-law. Good Luck!

There used to be an actress in the 70's named Mackenzie. It could go either way with this name I think. I think it's unusual and very nice sounding. Sounds like a good strong name. I think a girl would do well with that name.

Oh, it could go either way. It's cute, except that there are hundreds of Mackenzie's out there right now, and Madison is way overused as a girls name, we know at least ten Madison's.
