2 Baby name questions:?

For a boy I want Cohen Gerald Timothy (the two middle names are name sakes and I want them in that order, but is that too choppy...?) Or should I reverse the middle names even though I want to honor Gerlad more then Timothy?

For a girl I want Matika Mary... but if she goes into a professional occupation like a lawyer or doctor... how can I make Matika become more sofisticated?? I want her nickname to be Tika...

Answer:
i like cohen gerald timothy for a boy. and for a girl i think matika mary is a gorgeous name. both names for the kids are exotic and cute. btw- matika sounds professional anyway so don't base the names on profession. base them on what you like. congratulations on being pregnet!
I think both names are fine just the way they are. As for the professional aspect my husband and I named our daughter Allie and we were worried about the same thing so we thought about doing Allison or Alexis but then we figured with all the different names that people are naming there kids now days that Allie will be just fine so I believe that Matika will be fine also.
they are both unique and they are perfect.there are a lot of people out there who worry about that but dont worry everything will be fine!
Both are fine names. I wouldn't worry about the professional aspect of it.
I think the boys name sounds perfect the way it is and as for the girls name, if she goes into a profession like that she will probably be called by her title and then surname by most of the people it will matter with so that should be ok too. Her nickname will prob just be used by friends and family.

Or she could use her middle name when it comes to her profession?
With names like Buffy, Topper, Tipper, etc... no one will think less of a professional if they have a unique name!

I have always found that deciding on names based on how they sound when being YELLED is the best way to narrow any name down.
I like Cohen Gerald Timothy but not Matika Mary. Sorry.
I do not think it really matters in what order the two middle names are, placing them in order for your child to be able to have a flowing name should be first priority then actual name placement. Also if you think your setting your daughter up with a funky name that will hinder a professional job then you are probably right and should maybe reconsider it.
i like the first name, cohen is great! u could call her matty for short.
Cohen Gerald Timothy sounds great as is & Do not worry about a future professional life... she will make it work if she needs to. How about Mary Matika though? I honestly just don't like the name sorry!
I like them... just the way they are
I think for a boy, cut out Cohen, and go with Gerald Timothy, since it's incredibly choppy. For Matika Mary, Matika is pretty nice. And, Tika is a nice nickname. As long as you don't give her a name like Nikki, she should be fine in the professional name situation.so good luck!!
It's whatever you think is good ... it's your child ... but for some extra "playin around with names" you should try these two sites ... very helpful and cool:

Just Gerald Timothy.
I might do Mary Matika, because you can always call her by her middle name. I might just go with either Gerald Timothy or Timothy Gerarld. Jerry or Timmy are both good names for a little boy.
