"dennis" vs. "noah" for names. He loves one, I love the other. HELP!?
Answer:
I love Noah, but I don't really like Dennis, to me it sounds like an older man's name and doesn't really suit a child. Noah Dennis would be a good compromise.
Combine them, and have Denoah
how about Noah Dennis?
Sorry, don't like either.
noah is waaay cuter then dennis. just my opinion though.
Definately Noah.
What about Noah Dennis?
Personally, I like Noah better.
how about doah or nennis? i like nennis
I would say, don't pick either. Find a name you can both agree on. Neither of you should have to settle for a name that you don't like.
noah gets my vote. Dennis is more common too
i prefer Noah but if you really cant decide then maybe you should just wait til you meet your little boy - you may find nether suit him and have to start allover again
BAH! There both gross...no offense but there old peps names
haha
but to help here are the meaning of boths names
Dennis -Wild, frenzied. Also a lover of wine. From Dionysus, the mythological God of wine and drama. Also see Dennison and Tennyson
Noah- Hebrew: Complete. Old English: Good and famous. In the Old Testament this was the name of a grandson of Noah
Noah, Dennis just seems to old fashioned for a boy into days age. I know Noah is a biblical name, but there are still people giving this to there children. My thing is I like names that are unique but not to odd.
Because I like both names I'd say name him Dennis Noah.
when my ex husband and i had our son i loved tristan he hated it he had some other name picked out that i hated so we found another one we both liked and we named him mykah (micah- we just changed the spelling)
Noah - for sure.
Noah Dean sounds good.
I really prefer Noah,
Noah Dennis sounds really nice unless you have another name picked out.
I don't like either one therre are lots of names out there choose one you both agree on. And remember he has to live with this his whole life and how mean kids can be. That can effect his selfesteem and his life try something Sean, Nathan, Dean, Andy, Brandon, Jackson.
Noah is definately more popular among babies than Dennis. But that's a good thing, evidence that 'Noah' is an awesome and a current hit for good reason. It's very well-rounded and the perfect name since it's strong, attractive, has meaning, and it's a people pleaser (everyone likes Noah!). I am 5 months along, and Noah was in my top 3. I had all my co-workers and family vote, and Noah was almost unanimous (the other contenders were Jack and Chase). We are using Chase since it goes better with siblings. I am going to guess and say that Noah is your favorite? Women are usually more up-to-date with style, including when it comes to current baby names. Not only is Dennis not "in style" anymore, it doesn't make a very attractive sound. There is no contest when compared to Noah! Also, a Dennis would be inevitably called Denny, which sounds like a frumpy, doofus nickname.
PS. Chase is not my husband's fave, but after saying the name for a week, it just grew on him. Noah will eventually grow on your husband too, if he gives it a chance.
And maybe you guys should also take a poll among family/friends and when the votes come back in as all Noah, lol... go for it :)
I love both names, but I think Dennis is a stronger and more versatile name. Noah is more common and cutsie.
noah for defiate its loveley,i think i might pinch that idea cheers.
Two ways to go here.first use both the names...Dennis Noah, has a nice sound to it. Or pick other (different) names.or give the child a really long name using both Dennis, Noah and another.strictly up to the both of you! Congratulations! :)
I'm not all that fond of either, but I prefer Noah.
Dennis is too common of a name, and Noah just doesn't have that certain ring to me.Kaiden is what were going to name our child had she been born a boy..
Good luck in the name game..!!
I like Noahbetter than Dennis.
Noah for sure. My oldest son is named Noah.
If you are both in love with your name choices just choose one for the 1st name and one for the middle. I am not a "Dennis" fan but with all the freak invented names people are ruining thier unborn childrens lives with these days it will probably be unique in his age group.
i would like noah better than dennis, just because noah is a funner, younger sounding name. dennis reminds me of the mennace, and its just boring. i would say combine them, and make on the middle name, but it doesnt flow well.good look darling
I don't care for Dennis...makes me think Dennis the Menace.
Noah for sure! Noah Dennis
