A Name for a Girl...I need your opinion.?
Please be honest, the name is Samatha Lou. Sammie Lou for short. Alot of people have said bad things about it. Also, do you like it or hate it?

My first thought was ummm.l. but on further thought Sammie Lou is adorable for a little girl, when she gets older maybe drop the Sammie part. I love the name Samantha, but not so much Lou. Sorry. I like the name overall.
I love the name Samanthat but i dont really like Lou with it...it just doesnt sound right to me.
It sounds very country or hickish...so it would depend on where you live and where she'll want to live when she gets older...remember that a name follows you and affects people's opinions of you upon first hearing and/or meeting.

My nickname LindaLou is a nickname given to me years ago by friends and has morphed into everything from Louie, to Lola, to Lulu. It's cute, but can get annoying. I have a friend whose real name is Sara-Lou and she hates it. It's a bit of a problem for her working in the business world and to get people to take her seriously.
I'm not a fan of Samantha Lou... it doesn't flow off the tongue.
Sammie Lou does though.
All that matters is what you think and like. It's your baby. Does that name make you happy? If it does then thats all that matters!
To be honest... it kind of reminds me of The Grinch. Sammie Lou Who... You know? My opinion. But like I said what you think is all that matters.

It is a pretty name but you want to think about were the child is going to be growing up .I went with a unique name for my daughter of Guinevere and have received no negative comments yet but no matter what you name your child someone is going to say something dont let it bother you.
Samantha is ok...but with lou attatched to it...no...what about Samantha Marie or Samantha Lee..something like that
i love the name Samantha Lou. but instead of Sammie Lou for short. i say you just call her { Louie } for short. i my opinion thats a cool nickname for a girl.

It sounds kinda silly. (that was my first thought) It kinda made me think of a name for a puppy too. Cause i can picture someone actually naming their puppy that. The lou part is too cutesy. but isn't cute. know what i mean? how about Samantha Lee or Leigh..

Is that the first name or first and middle? I would have Samantha as the first and Louise as the middle. I like it and you could still call her Sammie Lou. Then as an adult she could have a more mature name (Samantha Louise). Go with whatever feels right!

Dont like it, it sounds like a name for an animal. I like the name samantha and have a friend I call sammie for short. It doesnt help that Rachel Ray calls a sandwich a sammie either. Follow Sammie up with a strong girlie name like Rose. and only one syllable

I don't like the Lou....especially with Sammy. Picture a doctor, lawyer or CEO...probably not named Sammy Lou.
Little very girly girl with pigtails. And foreign, or at least out-of-state - it sounds old-time Southern, maybe?
I think it's kind of sweet, though. And, if she turns out to be a tom-boy, she can always just shorten it to Sam.
