Emily Brooke or Lila Jane?

My husband and I are expecting and we've chosen not to find out the sex of the baby. We have our boy name picked out but we can't decide on our girl name! We have it narrowed down to two now: Emily Brooke and Lila Jane. We have a 14-month-old named Abigail Grace. So I like Emily Brooke because Emily has three syllables also, it has nicknames, and Brooke is not so old-fashioned. Lila Jane is the family name, his grandmother's name is Lila and my mom's name is Jane. Help! Thanks for your input! :)

Answer:
I like them both, but I slightly prefer Lila Jane just because Emily is so overwhelmingly popular. Plus, Lila is elegant and intelligent. It makes me imagine a tall, cool beauty.

If the popularity of your first daughter's name has bothered you at all, I recommend picking Lila Jane. If Abigail's popularity is a non-issue to you, I say pick Emily Brooke. Emily is super sweet and sounds like a perfect sibling match to Abigail.
emily brooke
I am Due Feb 2 and Lila is also one of my choice. Emily is overused.
I love Lila Jane.. It's soooo unique and I don't ever hear that name.. Emily is very popular... It's pretty also though.. Good luck to you
emily brooke
Lila Jane
Emily Brooke
I like Lila Jane best. It is very pretty. I like the idea of family names, but I couldn't do that with my daughter because the names in mine and my husband's families just didn't sound right.

Congratulations on your new baby!

Just curious... what did you choose for a boys name?
i absolutely love the name lila jane i would probably spell it lilah jayne though. it has a lot of value to it too considering she would be named after someone. emily i think is way over used and brook is ok but not my favorite. good luck.
I like Emily Brooke
Emily Brooke, maybe u should spell emily different
I like the name Emily Brooke
I like Lila Jane, it's pretty and more unique than Emily Brooke. Plus, I'm a sucker for family names. Good luck =D
Both times I had the boys names picked. Both times the moment I saw the baby, I knew who she was. The name simply came to me as soon as I saw her.

To wait and be surprised is the greatest excitement! I'll never forget when I saw it was her.
lila jennie.or as u like jane
Keep them both in mind, wait til the kid is born and then decide after seeing her. I have lots of friends who wanted to see their baby first before choosing the name.
i luv emily brooke! i would change the speliing since emily is so common. i also like the name emily grayce.such as-
emaly
emilee
emileigh
emale
emaleigh
emilly
emmily

good luck!!!!
Definitely: Emily Brooke. Lila Jane is lovely, but Emily Brooke has a pretty feminin sound to it and goes nicely with Abigail Grace.
Emily Brooke
Of those two, I like Lila Jane, because it's not as common. Every class I substitute teach in seems to have at least one Emily.
Lila Jane is unique, but Emily Brooke is more girly. If you want unique and girly try Emilee Brooke or another variation of the name.
I think you should jazz it up a little! Emily Nichelle<
or Emily Jane> then both of you are happy.
i LOVE the name Emily Brooke! it has such a cute ring to it. i think it is precious when a little girl is named Emily and you hear the parents call her Em sometimes for short...just my opinion... Lila Jane sounds kind of old fashion to me for some reason, but it is still cute. My favorite by far is Emily Brooke! congratulations and GOOD LUCK!!
Lila Jane
How about Brooke Jane. I like that name. If you don't then I would choose Emily Brooke. :)
Emily Brooke. Lila Jane does sound really old fashioned.
I love the name Emily Brooke !

Lila Jane sounds more feminine. I don't like Brooke.
