My father doesn't have a middle name. It's all a matter of personal preference. If you and dad like the name by itself, then go ahead. Not like having a MN is a law or something. :)

i dont see a problem with it. i dont personaly know any1without a middle name but that is ultimatly up to u and ur husband. i would think y not give her a middle letter standing for something but thats jsut me. but overall i dont see a problem with not giving her a middle name

I think everyone should have a middle name, personally. I think the name sounds more "complete" that way.

I know people that don't have a middle name. If your Christian s/he can use his/her confirmation name as a middle name. Some things ask for a middle name but don't require it. You could just use something short like Kay, Ann or Jane.

Not having a middle name sucks! You may think that it is going to be cool to make it different then everyone else, well it makes the person who doesn't have a middle name feel like I wasn't special enough to have a middle name? I'm 7 of 8 children and I don't have a middle name all my bother and sisters have one, so why don't I? That is what I asked my parents and their reply was to make you special. It doesn't make you special it makes you feel like they don't care.
I see nothing wrong with it. Plus, it will make it easier on her when she has to sign her full name. I like no middle name better than an initial.

Grace was my great grandmother's name and Hollie was my fiance's sister's name. She died in a car crash.

Firstname "Name-Name" Lastname. It is just a judgment call everyone has to make for thier own kid. Either way it will be fine.
I don't think it's weird, but a monogrammed towel would look different. My kids all have 3 syllable first names and 1 syllable middle names. (our last name has 2.) I think it's all about how it sounds. A lot of people don't even take the last name into consideration when picking a first name and I think that's a mistake.

Well with a girl lack of a middle name might be nice, then when she gets married she doesn't have to worry about choosing what her middle name will be. With my daughter she has a very long 1st name so her middle name is Poe.
A middle name isn't required or a necessity. A decision for a middle name is totally up to the parents. I myself didn't want to give my son a middle name, but his dad insisted on it. A name he'll never use or go by, but there. So, I say... don't if you don't want to.. and yes if you do. It's your child and if both of you agree on not having one.. then don't!
My husbands brothers(3 of them) and sister(1) don't have middle names.He and his brother who passed away are/were the only ones with middle names.But they are hispanic so they have 2 last names(dad's last name & mother maiden name)
Why give your baby a "middle letter"? What will she say, if they ask her what her middle name is? I don't have a middle name, just a letter?

if you wanted to you could give her your maiden name as the middle name with her fathers name as the last. my grandpa is named Ignacio Gallegoes Jimenez. His middle name is his moms maiden name with his dads last name. he is mexican and that is how they do it but it might work for you also. like (example) Angela Smith Jones. Smith being your last name and Jones the fathers. It isnt very attractive when someone asks you your middle name but it also makes it so she gets something from her mother and father without a hyphenated name. Hope you find something you like.
Neither of my parents have middle names, but my dad is a Junior. If you want the "J" why don't you go with Jo? That's short and cute. And I'll probably use it, but then again, my mom is Joan and my brother is Joseph.
i dont have a middle name, although when i was young and getting my drivers license, it bothered me, now at 33 i am over it. I definetly do not consider it a huge deal
