it is ok
My dad's uncle Lou's given name was Dante Luigi. He changed it to Louis Dante when he came to America. My name, if I was a boy, would have been Dante Joseph. By the time my little brother was born, they changed it to Joseph Dante. I'd be more likely to use it as a middle name, although I do love the name.
Dante.
okay what you should do is spell it the simple way cause i havent had a teacher to pronouce my name right since kindergraden,,,dontae... would proably be the best
i like it but its really masculant in its own way.
Not my cup of tea.
Giving your child a name with an apostrophe in it is going to cause him headaches the rest of his life. When he goes to put his name on standardized tests, they won't have an apostrophe (the kind where you fill in the bubbles that correspond to letters in your name). He's going to get weird looks from people. It will hurt his chances of ever getting decent employment. If you love him, give him a decent, normal name. If you like the way it's pronounced, name him Dante which at least will make people think you're literate and a fan of Italian literature. If you name him Donte' they'll think he's from a lower-class household in the ghetto.
Don't really like it.
i like it, plus you anyone can pronounce it without any help.
