A name no one likes... what do you think?
Answer:
Rebel Jeffery doesn't flow well, but ultimately it's up to you. Do keep in mind, though, that children aren't the only ruthless ones. Adults will probably prejudge him based on his name and associate it with roudy behavior or think him to be "redneck".
Decide what's more important to you. Using a name that means something to you and your husband is one of the best ways to choose your baby's name, but use it in such a way that it won't be at your child's expense.
My suggestion would be to name him Jeffery Rebel. That way he can grow up going by Rebel, if that's what you so choose, but once he's an adult in the workforce, he'll be Jeffery R. Nixon, which looks and sounds nice. Also affords him the opportunity to go by JR as an adult.
they are doing it for good reason.....its retarded
Dont do it!
you spelled "Jeffrey" wrong
It sounds a bit more like a name you'd give a pet rather than a child, personally.
Yeah I don't think thats a good idea but if you like it then why not, I personally think it isnt a good name rebel, the rebel.
Thats a very bad name. He will be trouble. And people will pre judge him as trouble. Like how all Damien's are usually criminal or mean or just wrong in the head.
He'll have a very bright future... as an auto mechanic or a NASCAR driver.
yup REBEL?... COme on now!!
Are you serious? That name sucks. Pick a real name so your kid doesn't get beat up at school.
I like it; you child will have character from day one. I think it is good to be different and unique. Go for it girl!
Probably gonna be prejudged...but it's your child. He will make the name his own. Besides, people are going to be prejudged anyway!
ur child will be tormented no matter what!! that's just the way kids are. but if you like the name then go for it. it doesn't matter what anyone else likes. plus, you could give him a nickname if people are really gonna be silly about it. like R.J. or something like that. my brother goes by D.J. b/c he hates the first name Donald.
I think you should name your boy, "Sue."
I think Rebel is a cute name!
You should name him whatever you want, it's your kid, not their's.
I knew a girl in school named Rebel... I thought it was cool--maybe it's the jeffrey that they don't like
no i think that names are important to a child, i dont think you should call it rebel because children seriously will judge him. Maybe u could use it as a middle name instead?
Rebel isn't something I would consider to be a "name". I advise you change it. Your son will not look hardcore. :)
kids will make fun of him in grammar school and maybe in middle school too.
I like that name too. It is my uncle's dog's name. But whatever floats your boat. What about Robert Lee Nixon?
I think it's a silly name, and your kid is going to have a life time of hurt due to this name. Kids can be cruel. Why rebel? Sound like a hillbilly.
well, he will have 2 other names, so if he doesn't like it he can chose from the other 2 .
personally i think that you have the right to chose your kids name, but what will the kids he goes to school think. is this goiing to cause some problems down the road? as for the name itself, its not one that i would perosnally choose, but each to er own.
I like it it,s unusual
Sorry don't care for it. It doesn't flow together. Sounds like you are saying...meet the rebel, Jeffery Nixon.
I think it's a shockingly awful name. Then again, my parents named me 'The', so I probably shouldn't talk.
Who cares what others think? BUT most people will live up to what's expected of them and by naming your child this what message does it send?
Is Nixon your last name, or a second middle name? If it's his middle name, I think you should change it (because of Richard Nixon and negative associations).
With Rebel, it's true that people will pre-judge him somewhat, but these days it's popular to have odd or unique names like that, so it shouldn't be too big of a deal. If you want, you could always change the spelling or pronunciation a bit, like "Rebelle". But that looks like a girl's name.
I really like the name "Rayelle" for a guy.
Congratulations on your baby! :)
Poor kid...why don't you just name him Osama? Or Hitler?
rebel doesn't sound like a name for a child we all know what a rebel is maybe u can change it to something else. what about robbie? not rebel it's not exactly a name for a person unless it's a nickname i don't like it at all
It is definitely a name with strong connotations for many people, so he is more likely to be prejudged by it. It might be better to name him Jeffrey Rebel or go by his middle name. Of course, it is your baby, and is therefore completely up to you. Just remember that, whatever you pick, your child will go through life with it.
