What do you think of the name Ryker for a girl?
Answer:
its cute but i would add a a at the end, its still sounds the same.
it sounds unisex. Like the name Ryan
Great for a boy; too masculine for a girl.
just remember how the child will feel when she has to go to school and try not to make the name too hard or when ever theres a sub, your childs name it bound to be called wrong and people pick on herbut personaly i think its pretty
your kid will hate u when they grow up, come on ryker u could do better theres billions of names out there, why name ur kid after something that sounds like a peice of metal or a bike or something, and its not good for a boy or a girl try something else
It is ok, but I would use something really girlie for the middle name. Like Ryker Alexis or Ryker Marie.
I like it better for a boy, yet it could work as a girl's name with a very feminine middle name.
I think that it would be adorable for a boy definantly! Not for a girl though-sounds way to manly.Maybe Riley for a girl-kinda close to the name you like but much more feminine!
cute but can't help but think of Rikers Island Prison..
It's a strong masculine name. I wouldn't name a girl it.
Is that even a name or did you make it up? I personally don't like it for either a boy or a girl. I prefer more traditional names. The kind of name I can picture someone calling an adult and respecting that person.
I was with you when you said that you want the name for a boy but once you said that you want it for a girl...you lost me! The name sounds masculine and very boyish so i wouldnt suggest it for a girl. I think you might have to come up with something else for a girl because even if you add a middle name or even if you try and make it sound feminine, it'll still sound too crazy i feel and i dont think shes gonna be too happy when she gets older. :(
I am having the opposite problem. I have the perfect name for a girl but cant come up with one for a boy. Im sure youve searched the web for names but if that didnt help then go to a libray and search for names and if you did that as well then let me know if you come up with a better idea cuz i can use the help also. Bye goodluck!
I love names for traditionally boys but for girls (vice versa) I'm naming baby #4 3rd girl, Chandler Raina. Chandler I love and hubby's dad died when 5 year old son was born so we named him James in honor of Hubby's dad. When Emma and Madison came along hubby didn't like Chandler but I've gotten him to warm up to it... he still doesn't like the idea of another girl!
when i hear the name ryker, i think of commander ryker from star trek the next generation...
Definitely not a name for a Girl. or boy! It's just to weird. Being different is great sometimes. But there are boundaries.
Ryker and Ryke sounds like a boy name to me - but that's just my opinion -!@
it sounds like a great name for a boy, but it's too masculine for a girl. ryke sounds too much like the term for a masculine lesbian, that's just asking for her to be picked on. it would be really cute if you named your girl something like ryleigh and have ryker for your boy.
Ryker kind of reminds me of the prision, I think it would be better for a boy.
To me me Ryker is a boy name..make a list of names you like and wait until baby arrives then you can decide! Sometimes, a baby just suits/fits a certain name when you look at them!
Ryker.like Riker's Island? The prison in New York.
i dont like that for a girl ...
Ryker reminds me too much of the prison.
Okay for a boy, too harsh for a girl.
Suggestions, if you're open to them:
Boys:
Sage Ryker
Ryder Nicolei
Rogan Connor
Girls:
Haven Elizabeth
Dahlia Laken
Layla Ryker
Good luck, and have a great day! :)
I'm sorry, but when I hear it, I automatically think of Star Trek. To me, it sounds too masculine for a girl.
It sounds more like a boy name to me. My friend that lives in Japan named her child Ruka, she is a girl. It sounds pretty to me. Experiment with the name and try different spellings of it. Just remember that this child will have to live with their name until they are of legal age and can change it. So make sure you're sure of what you want before you make a solid decision that your child will have to live with.
makes me think of Rykers Island. What about Riley, or Rory?
I think it might be too boyish for a girl.
Here are some suggestions:
Peyton
Kinsley
Kennedy
Reagan
