It depends on whether you like Jake, Marc or Zach as a nickname, as you know other kids will call him that as he gets older if you don't do it yourself. As much as I thought I gave my child a name that would not permit nicknames, I have given him a nickname myself. It just happens as a term of endearment.
I personally like Zachary Thomas. Zach and Alex sounds great in the same breath when you mention sibling names, too.
