OK, what do you think of THESE girls + boys names?

It seems everywhere, on FeelBaby.com and otherwise, folks are giving their kids names that are way-overly trendy, too gender-neutral, or ridiculously spelled and/or made-up. (Does anyone take into account how the KIDS will feel down the road? *rolleyes*)

Anyhoo, I've been told that a lot of my fave names are "boring", but I think they are timeless and classic. :) I also happen to prefer girls' names that actually sound FEMALE, and boys' names that actually sound MALE.

So, let's see how weird and/or boring I really am! *smirk* Here are my fave names. I'm curious what you all think. Pick as many or as few faves from each list as you wish. :)

Answer:
I agree with you a 100%. I hate to see little girls names Maesyn and Logynn and little boys named Jaxon and Karder. I also love traditional/classic names that age well, you can spell, and you know if my child is a boy or girl.

I like.
Anne - I love this w/nickname Nancy!
Claire
Elizabeth - I love this too
Isabella
Katherine - prefer Catherine, love it still though

I tend to be picky about boy names, see.
I have to agree with you...girl names should sound like girl names and boy names should sound like boy names. I myself like old fashion classic names with a few newer ones thrown in. I have three children, Danny, Dustin and Makayla.
None of these names I would use for my kids..except Jacob. If I had a girl, it'd be either Faith or Alisha. A boy would be either Jacob or Christian.
n
JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER KIDS NAMES (BORING)
BUT IF YOUR WORRIED ABOUT DOWN THE ROAD SOME OF THOSE GIRLS NAMES YOU NEED TO MARK OFF YOUR LIST.

Well my daughters name is Teeaira and she LOVES IT and yes that is the correct spelling of it. T-E-E-A-I-R-A

I was going to Name her Serria but i was a Teenager when I had her and I told the name to other Teenage mom's and they had their daughters before me and tons of them named thier daughters Serria.
So I took the first letter of my baby sister's name Tanya and came up with Teeaira.
The reason it is spelled the way it is, Is very special.
As I said I was a teenager. I just turned 16 and I wanted to give my unborn child the best so I oppted out for drugs. Plus the scared me by giving me the facts of the eppy. You knwo you can become parilliyzed for life if things go wrong. Can you immagme being a teenage mom and trying to finish school and not being able to walk?!!! I wasn't going to do that to my baby. And not just what drugs can do to you but what about your baby. Well I decided that if woman have been giving birth for years with out them I could to. Well they TOTALY druged me up afterwards.lol! She was born at 6:36 am and a little after 8am the birth certificate people at the hospital were calling me for her name and spelling???...lol Well they got it and I left it that way
My daughter lovesher name and the Spelling Tee [like the golf tee] air [that you breath] then an "a" :0) People always spell it wrong at least at first but my daughter is proud of her name and how it came about being spelled the way it is! :0)
FINALLY A PERSON WHO KNOWS HOW TO NAME KIDS.and she's not going to have any... figures.

I totally agree that children's names have become too trendy. I named my three traditionally, but with a different spelling. Mistie Ann is soon to be 8, Jayson Allyn is soon to be 6, and DeWayne Joseph, aka Joey is soon to be 4. Kudos on knowing your limits, when you are ready to have kids then go for it. Wish more people out there were like you. Keep on loving other peoples kids till then.
I like Anna better than Anne. But I also like Elizabeth and Katherine. For boys I like Jacob and James for middle names, but I don't think they hold up well as first names.
i like for a girl sarah claire or carissa anne and for a boy conner douglas or nathan scott
