I don't think about my child being president, or anything like that... I think about decent names that I love, and that have a little meaning to them in my family. If my Ethan becomes a president some day, great! If not, that's ok too! I'm not gonna think he will be a president because that's clearly up to him, not me. If he doesn't want to be a president some day, then I want him to be whatever he wishes, as long as he's happy, knows that he's loved, has goals in life, that's all that matters to me.

The same thing I named my son 27 years ago. Nathaniel David. I would not name a child something supposedly sophisticated or uppity just because I knew he was going to be president.
I would name him my favorite name at the time. When I think about it, most presidents have very common names. George, John, James, Jimmy, Richard, Bill, etc. THat's kinda interesting. Will Hillary be next?
