Help with a baby girl's name?

My husband and I are thinking of Marissa Claire for our baby (if it's a girl). We have a two-syllable last name, so I thought it sounded kind of nice. My parents didn't seem that excited, though.

Please let me know what you think!

Answer:
Just plain beautiful.

It is traditional, yet unique. A name your daughter can grow with!

(If you are set on this name, then I suggest now telling anyone anymore. You don't want their negative feelings to ruin the great name, as it sounds like your parents are doing...)
Grace Anne (Then Last name)
Sounds sweet and old fashioned. I like it!!!
I like Kaitlin Isabella.
I really like it
that is a beautiful name its your child not your parents
Very pretty. Go to babynames.com
Claire is nice but I don't care for the name Marissa. The Marissa's that I know are annoying and/or snobby. But if you really like the name, then you should do what pleases you and your husband regardless of what anyone else thinks including your parents!
What about Pamela Carmen? Or Britney Lindsay? Paris Nicole?
it's a cute name. And it hasn't been overused either. when I have a girl..I'm going to name her Haylen.
Those are great names. I am partial to Sophia or Sophie as a nick name. But remember when you try and please OTHER family members other than yourselves, the parents, no one is happy! Well wishes to you.
I think that's a beautiful and unique name. You are always going to run into someone that has an opinion for what you should name your baby. If you like that name and think it fits your little one, then who cares. I love the name and say stick with it:)
If thats what you guys like then go with it. Who cares what others think, its your baby:)
I think it is very cute
Beautiful name! Nice flow, good rhythm. Maybe they wanted you to use a family name (if that isn't a family name.) Sometimes people are turned off by unusual names at first. Once they hold your baby and love her, the name will become associated with her. They will love it.
I think it's a beautiful name, and will go well with a two-syllable last name! My mom wasn't thrilled with my choice for my daughter's first name, cuz it's a poplular one, plus my younger sister has a friend with the same name, but spelled differently. But I didn't care, because it was my favorite! Maybe they just don't seem excited because they've done this already, and it's new to you? Besides, it doesn't matter what they think, they had their chance at baby-naming, and now it's your turn! Go with it, I think it's a really nice name!
i think thats's cute, it's unqiue. everyone has a personal favortye name, like mine is Riley Jade. i'm sure if your mother doesn't like the name she will still adore the child, and it will grow on her eventually, she'll be nicknaming her and singing her name in no time. when it comes down to it, it's you who will make the decision and i think that's a really nice name.
Marissa Claire is a nice name. I would also suggest Mary Victoria. I had a friend whose daughter was called this way, and she called her daughter Marvic for short. Or I should suggest the names of your mother and mother-in-law combined.
I have always liked those types of names like Natalie Ruth, Grace Lee Marissa Ann and things like that. I really like the name you choose it is sweet and seems like a really important person's name

Congratulations
That's a beautiful name. It's your baby, name her what you want. Congratulations!

If it's the name both of you love, go with it! It's a beautiful name, and even if your parents aren't as excited about it now, they'll probably grow to love it after it's been attached to their adorable granddaughter. They had their chance at baby naming, now it's your turn.
I like it! I kinda wish that was my name! Instead of sammi (real name samantha But yeah i like it, if your parents dont like it tell them it is your baby and that they have to respect that it is your baby not theirs.

Claire ? just isnt a name i care for, but best of wishes to you and your hubby.. i hope its a girl !!
Firstly, Marissa Claire is an absolutely beautiful name! Secondly, develop a barrier between you and your parents. You get to name your children not them, don't allow them to influence your choices around this. It's between your husband and you, your parents will learn to love whatever you two decide upon. This is the reason that my husband and I aren't telling anyone what names we've selected. We don't want to be influenced by other people's tastes. Our families will discover the names of our children when they've been born and named. Period. Good luck and congrats!
I really like the name! Youir the parents and if you and your husband like it I would go for it! Congrats!
Marissa Claire is a lovely name! Go for it!!
LOVE IT ITS YOUR CHILD NOT THEIRS AS LONG AS YOU AND YOUR HUSBAND AGREE ON THE NAME WHO CARES WHAT EVERYONE ELSE THINKS
I really lilke that name I think that it is really pretty. Good luck with your child
I really like it.
My mother-in-law never liked either of the names my husband and I picked out for our girls but they both grew on her. I think the name is beautiful, if that counts for anything!
Marissa is a cute name. I like it.
