How do you pronounce this name?

"Everlyse" Is it ever-leese or ever-lice or neither? Also, do you like it for a girl or just in general? Evie or something could be a nickname, right? Thanks

Answer:
That is a very cute name. And there is nothing CRUEL about it. There is nothing wrong with being different. It is only cruel if someone were to name their kid Dikey or Douche. Whoever said that it is cruel, and they will get made fun of?? Who would make fun of Everylyse? And who doesnt have to CORRECT people with names? I always have to correct people on how to say or spell my name and it is very easy. REBECCA and people pronounce REbecca instead of RAbecca. And people misspell my name as Beka Becka and so on. So go with whatever name YOU like. I personally like Everlyse, it's simple and also different.
i would go with the first pronunciation and i do like it for a girl
Honestly, I dislike that name. Giving children bizarre names just for the sake of being different is cruel. They will have to be teased at school, correct everyone they ever meet about the spelling or pronounciation, and never be able to find personalized items with their names.

You can pick creative names that aren't THAT bizarre.
Ever-leese sounds right and it's a nice name. Evie or Eve, Lyse or Verly. Anything can be used for a sweet nickname.
first one is right everleese and it is good name for a girl
The name is pronounced "ever-lease." It is an uncommon version of Evelyn or Everlee.
ever, liz, we have an evie in our neighborhood.
I would say ever-leese, but I am not sure. I am really not fond of this name. It is too hard to pronounce. The spelling looks pretty though and I do like the nick name of Evie or Evy maybe. Good luck to you.
ever lee zz i dont like it is is hard to say and spell and is a problem name for anyone
Ever what? Just give her a normal name like Lily Rose.
I believe it is the first pronunciation. And I also think it is a beautiful name
Yes, it would be "Ever-leese", but do bear in mind that people will probably always have trouble with pronounciation.

It is a nice name, but some might consider it to be made up, although it is actually a very old name with Irish roots, which was apparently common during early American settlement.
ever-leese. i think it sounds like a nice name (i love evie). it's definitely better for a girl than a boy, but don't forget that your child is going to be named this for life (unless they change their name, but that's a pretty big step). can you see how it might get tiresome for them to keep correcting people? you've seen for yourself how difficult the pronounciation is to work out. i think as a general rule, if you yourself are unsure of the pronounciation of a name, best to steer clear of it.

what about considering eveline or evelyn? they're easier to pronounce and still pretty uncommon. and she will still be an evie!
