I dig it. It will fit when she is old so, way to be proactive on that. Also, Lily will work out if she winds up being a hot chick. Finally, while she is young it will just be darn cute. You got my vote.

I think it's a terrific name. The old ones are making a comeback I think, and it's always nice when a parent doesn't pick a name where the child will be constantly correcting people about pronunciation and spelling.
I personally like the name, however I suggest that you call her "Lillian" and not "Lily". If you want to call her Lily then you should name her that. Would you use Virgin for Virginia? I think not, so don't use Lily when that is not her actual name. This is just my personal opinion.

Lillian doesn't sound like an old woman to me, sounds like someone that is respectable. I like the whole get-up. I especially like how you are using ancestors names for your kids. Well I like it. It has a family bond connected too it. Just remember that this child will have this name forever. If you don't like it you have to live with it. Lillian means Lily which is a very pretty flower and Virginia is latin meaning pure. Sounds good to me!

You shouldn't care what other people think of it. It is what you and your husband like. But, since you asked I think it is a good strong name. I LOVE Lily. I think it is beautiful. It sure beats some of these names people are coming up with that you can't even begin to pronounce or spell. lol I think Lily will be very proud of her name once her Grandmothers are gone.
