I am on Lamotrigine for epilepsy and want to find out if anyone has had a baby whilst on this medication. I know it increases risks of something going wrong just want to find out. Thanks
Answer:
The associated risks are unconfirmed, see link to FDA (Food and Drug administation, us regulatory body) info sheet. However the baby is likely to be at greater risk if you have a seizure, and it seems that there is asociate risk with most anti seizure drugs
Birth defects come under the heading: TERATOGENICITY, and as far as I can work out this is where the main issues lie
