Dumb question but what the hay I will ask you all anyways lol?

Ok, I am on birth control pills right now Ortho Tri Cyclin to be exact. I told my doc that I am HORRIBLE about remembering to take pills and wanted something else that didn't require me to think about it all the time but she insisted on the pills. So anywhoo as expected I still suck at remembering to take the pills and keep missing them for instance I was doing great all last week and even on Saturday and then missed from Sunday until now. My fiancee' and I had unprotected sex on Sunday, and then again tonight STUPID STUPID ME!! What do you think the chances of me falling pregnant are?? I wouldn't mind if I got pregnant again, but I am planning a wedding and having a dress custom made so getting pregnant might put a hold on things lol. Just wanting to know what you all think about this lol I know this is a stupid question but I am just wondering. Thanks in advance for all of your answers please no smart a ss answers thanks

Well I have to say, I am so relieved to here about some one have a pregnancy thing and not horrified. You already know you should have used a condom so I can skip that. I would check w/ your doctor but I think you are suposed to take 2 a day until you are caught up on the pills and if you don't get your period definatly take a test. and future reference, if you are not planning anymore kids or atleast not for a good long time an IUD is a good choice, they last 5-10 years depending on what kind you get, also there is the depo shot, but they don't really recommend it too much anymore unless you cant take regular bc, like if you are nursing or some other reason because of risk of bone mass loss or something along the lines of and is once every 3 months you get a shot, there is the ortho-evra patch which is only once a week you change the patch, but I believe the risk of stroke or clots or something is double what normal bc is, and there is the nuvaring. I am currently on this, Im not too good w/ remembering the pill either, but this is a ring you insert into your vagina, you leave it in there for 3 weeks, you take it out for a week (period week) and put a new one in after 7 days of the time you took it out. I have only been on it for a week or so, it definatly took a couple of days to get used to, but once it is in for a little bit you dont notice it. My doctor told me that the risks are the same as regular bc and it has the same effectiveness. They told me it may be uncomfortable having sex, but you can take it out for up to 4 hours and still be just as effective, and if you strain or do heavy exersising or when you move your bowels it could slip down or come out, but you just rince in cold or luke warm water (not hot ) and reinsert it. It sounds weird but, so far I don't find it too bad.
Probably a good chance you could, where are you in your cycle?
Where were you on your pills? If you are earlier or later than halfway through, probably only a very slim chance. You might set a daily alarm on your cell phone and when it goes off, it's time to take your pill. Or have your fiance remind you.
It usually isnt THAT easy, but it depends when your period is.. I wouldn't stress about it just yet, as thats whats probably delaying yr period
I usually take them when I eat breakfast. I eat breakfast late and at the same time everyday. OH well atleast the guy is planning to marry you. IF he wasn't you would be screwed.
High chance you could be pregnant, if it turns out your not, try implannon, its the stick in your arm, lasts about 3 years, once there your protected until it is taken out in which case can happen when ever you want it out, and then you return to your normal cycle within 3 days.
good luck with the wedding and possible pregnancy.
Because you are on a low-dose bcp, once you missed a couple, you were unprotected. You should have been using another form of birth control, such as condoms, for the seven days following the second missed pill, and that's if you had started taking them again after the second missed pill.

Some people are simply not good candidates for the pill. Your doctor should have helped you explore other options, like the patch, or the ring, or Norplant. If you are lucky enough not to be pregnant this time. get a box of condoms, a spermicide, and a new gynecologist!
I thought it might be helpful to suggest you change your bc. I had the same problem when using the pill and my Dr. suggested I went on Nuva Ring. I loved it!! I'm not sure if you have ever heard about it but you insert it vaginally, it stays there for 3 weeks and you remove it for one week ( that's when you get your period) and you cant feel it and it isn't bothersome during sex. I was on it for over a year until we wanted to get pg. and now I am 8 weeks along. good luck to you and I hope this helps.
You have a 20-25% chance of becoming pregnant each month even if you do the deed on your ovulation date.
You can test 19 days after the day you think you became pregnant.

A blood test will show if your pregnant or not 7 days following conception.
If you cannot remember to take the pill then get on the depo shot or the iud.
First and foremost, you need to sit your GYN down and have a talk with her. It is unprofessional to have a doctor refuse to consider alternative treatment without discussing it with the patient and giving them their reasons. If she refuses to give you a satisfactory answer, you should find a new provider. There are many options (with the same hormonal yield as OTC) that you only have to think about once a month...if even that!!

Second, your chance of pregnancy is going to depend on where you are in your cycle. If you can remember when your last period was, you can take a pregnancy test within 5 days of when your period is slated to start. Bloodwork may be able to tell even sooner, which is another reason you need to call your GYN right away.

Third, it's not a stupid question. I hear it at least once a week.
