Do I have a greater chance of having twins or triplets?

My father is a triplet and I was wondering if my chances of one day having twins or triplets is greater than normal because of that.

I've never officially looked into this because I am not thinking about children right now, I haven't asked my doctors or anything but I was always curious and I thought I'd just ask you fine folks.

Answer:
Yes. But it also depends if he was concieved naturally or his mother took fertility pills, or if she was over the age of 35 and had an abnormal mentrual pperiod and released three eggs intead of one. If she did indeed concieve naturally before the age of 35 then YES you have a great chance of having twins or triplets. If it runs in your blood to release more then one egg during menstration. Also your chances will increase more with each pregnancy and with age. =)
Your chances of having twins are greater.
Well, having multiples is genetic but my dad is a twin and I haven't had twins. But my brothers girlfriend is a twin and her dad has had a set a of twins with his ex-wife and wife. So I would think it would be who's genes are stronger yours or your love one. And if you have more of your father genes then your mother.
Usually not, but I did find one article that say some experts do believe that dad can pass on the "twin gene". I would think your changes of having multiplies are about equal as eveyone else.
sometimes i think its genetic, my boyfriends family has quite a few sets of twins, so maybe
its a miracle we get born let alone twins and triplets are not likely and you dint have greater chance its hard to explain look up meiosis and it pretty well explains some of it happens that when a egg is released that several are released its just one that is typically "fed" but when two are then its fraternal twins and when a its one egg and sperm the egg has 6 days to split to get twins or triplets anything after that is Siamese-(just discussed this is biology) but remember anything is possible and besides it luck that the sperm get there anyways. but i think if you personally have twins your self you are likely to get another set, but since it was your dad that was in that multiple range it probably doesn't affect you.
