I'm a family of one, so I can't tell you what it will cost for four, but I've pasted a link below that might help you compare where your are now to Tampa. I also posted a link to Tampa Bay On Line as I often go here to find things to do. If your city isn't include in the calculation I provided, just go to http://www.google.com/ and search for Cost of Living Calculator and you may find something better.
Just in case you haven't already found a place to live, I wanted to let you know that house prices have been soaring for the past five years, but a few months ago they leveled off and recently sellers have started offering discounts, rebates, free cars, etc. just to get out of something they thought was a good investment; so don't be afraid to look around and make an offer. Two of my friends at church just got brand new never lived in places at big discounts where the original buyer backed out.
Unfortunately, because taxes and insuance have gone up significantly, if someone tells you what housing is costing them, it will cost you a little more for each year they've already lived in their home. Welcome to Tampa Bay!
I live in Tampa florida and if your ever interested in buying our real estate right now is dreadful. There are some nice condos or apartments to rent but if you want it decent it most def. is going to be about 1,100 a month...if u want some more help email me...i've lived in tampa for 22 years.
