due dates are plus or minus two weeks, so you could really be even further along than 37 weeks, and it could happen at any time. So if you do go into labor and it doesn't stop, they wouldn't try to stop it, your baby should be far enough along to be fine.
It's definitely normal to be effacted and even dilated ahead of time, sometimes for weeks. Or you may not even see this answer because you will be off having a baby!! It will definitely be pretty soon no matter what, good luck!
ya that happened to me several times,, there really is no way to tell how it will work for you everyone is different , you could go weeks or you could go in tonight ....
Well i am 42 and my last child was 14 teen yrs ago...I went
into false labor with both my girls .my youngest daughter i had a week after my false labor ..it's normal you will be having your beautiful baby soon ..longer she stays in the better but 37 wks

Oh the horror.. lol. I was lucky the first time around, don't even remember the braxton hicks until i really was in labor at 41 weeks, and it progressed and they went ahead and put me on oxytocin to keep things going. So i have no practical input or advice on your situation, I just wanted to wish you luck, and hope that you don't have to go through that again. And congratualtions, don't know if you're scared for things to start back up again, or if you can't wait to get that baby out of you, but either way, it will happen when it's supposed to and when you hold that baby in your arms, you'll probably just melt like i did!!
My girlfriend was 3cm dilated for 3 weeks.
Normal birth.
I never dilated at all. They tried to induce me for 3 days, and I never even got to 1cm. They did a cesarean.
