Period during pregnancy or miscarriage?
Answer:
When I was pregnant with my now 18 mon old son I had started to bleed come to find out i had a spontaneous miscarriage of his twin ( disappearing twin syndrome) my son is OK but you need to get to the DR and get checked out like NOW you could be having a miscarriage, or you could not be prego at all. Or you could be like me and start with twins and your body can not Handel it and you have a spontaneous (miscarriage/ abortion)
Unfortunately the Dr may be the only one that will be able to help you because they are both possible.
no sorry but please get in touch with your doctor and get help
Think a period will just be mainly spotting but a miscarriage will have a lot of blood.
unfortunatly yes i do know the difference my sister miscarried just a few days ago cramping is normal so is bleeding but not together if they are together its a bad sign also heavy bleeding is a definate concern
yes a period you know what that is like. A miscarraige is extremely painful and large clots of tissue come out. plus you would have been overdue your period for more than a week and had a positive pregnancy test. the pains would have been awful and you would have been bedridden
sorry they both look close to the same just a miscarried usually you will pass my blood clots sorry about the TMI
go to the emergency room! tell them there is a possability you maybe expecting they can run tests to tell if you are or if you are just on the rag.
Any bleeding during pregnancy should be taken very seriously, you should contact your health care provider as soon as possible. And whatever you read on here, there are only a tiny minority of women who have 'periods' throughout, or for part of their pregnancy.
Good luck.
A miscarriage is not always painful. Sometimes you feel next to no pain at all...I have a sister and an aunt that had a MC like that. When I had a MC at 16 wks along, I knew I was pg, but I didn't bleed at all. I found out I had lost the baby after going in for an ultra sound...so not all miscarriages are alike. Go to the ER!!
I'm guessing you are in between one and 4 months this tends to be the critical time, for miscarriages.. Any bleeding after this Is serious.
ANy time you are bleeding while pregnant it means that you are over doing it and taxing your body too much which could lead to a misscarriage. This is when bed rest and putting your feet up comes into play.
I'm also guessing your doctor gave you the same news as he gave me 50/50 chance. I was encouraged by those odds always had considered them to be in my favor. half full type of thinking but I lost the baby at four months and felt terrible. SO take the bleeding seriously.BED REST. DON"T OVER DO IT, Leave the house work or anything else that mekes you feel you have to get up and move. Start drawing write a book. FInd someway to keep yourself amused that does not require phsyical activity.
Please, Please, Please go to the doctors. It could be simple no harm bleeding but you don't always get pain with a miscarriage - my wife didn't, and it happened to her twice. We now have a beautiful daughter but i would hate for you to sat there thinking that all is well when it isn't. Get checked out - a few hours out of your life to be on the safe side.
Good luck and best wishes.
Bright red blood is something to worry about, but if you have a tiny bit of spotting and it is dark you really don't have to worry. If I were you just to be on the safe time go to the hospital, better to be safe than sorry.
I think its best to ask the Doctor to know for sure but bear this in mind.normally a miscarriage will involve several clots in the blood, as opposed to just blood. It is usually more painful than a period, involving bad stomach and back cramps. After bleeding myself early into this, my third pregnancy I was advised by my midwife that if the bleed ever got as bad as a period..in its quantity then to go back and see her as it was likely that a miscarriage was starting. What im saying is its so hard to know because what are your persnal periods like? Heavy/light? Painful/non painful? How long are you on for? therefore I would go and seek advice from your Doctor. Goodluck x
