I'm pregnant can i eat shrimp (cooked in a casserole in oven)?

im just not sure please help

Answer:
AS long as it is cooked it is fine. Big game fish like shark, mackerel, tuna are what you want to avoid as much as possible. Also refrigerated smoked salmon (Canned is ok) Soft cheese, such as blue cheeses, Feta, Brie and Chamberet. Unpasteurized juices and milk.
I don't believe so, I know some seafood is safe, but to me it's just not worth the risk. I love sea food and it's been hard to stay away, but My mom has promised me a big Lobster/seafood dinner after I have the baby!
I've read to stay away from seafood, but really the only types that are bad are those that are high in mercury. And I did read that if they are baked in the over, they are safe. You might want to look up the mercury content, and if there is none, I wouldn't worry about it as long as it's not a once-a-week meal or anything. Once should not hurt.
yes you can just not alot of it
Shrimps are fine, but watch out for the tuna, it contains traces of mercury. No, baking seafood will not get rid of the mercury. I bet the casserole turns out great, can I come over for dinner?
I thought this question was a joke...but I see you are serious...well...when I was pregnant, I never was told to stay away from seafood.in fact my favorite place to eat was the buffet at Seafood World.the name says it all...SEAFOOD.I never had a problem, but everyone is different...my daughter is now 7 years old...If you really want it...eat it...just don't over-do-it...Good Luck.and best wishes.congrats...
seafood including shrimp have contain large of protein, some elergic people can't eat this food. It will make you feel itching.but if u do not the one , i don't think you have problem with it even while your pregnant. just like other thing do not too much.
i eat cooked shrimp all the time when i was pregnant that was one of my cravings and my son turned out fine no damage done
yes, it is ok..

the seafood they say to stay clear of is: shark, swordfish, king makarel, and tilefish.

they also say if you do eat fish dont eat more than 12oz. per week...and make sure the fish you eat is thoroughly cooked
