For all moms Have you heard this song before? It has a double meaning!?
No Charge
(written by Harlan Howard)
(recorded by Shirley Caesar)
My sister's little boy, came in the kitchen
one evening while she was fixing supper,
and he handed her a piece paper
he had been writing on.
And after wiping her hands on an apron,
she took it in her hands and read it,
and this is what it said...
For mowing the yard, five dollars,
and for making up my own bed this week, one dollar.
For going to the store, fifty cents.
and playing with little brother while you went shopping, twenty-five cents.
Answer:
if someone got incest out of that, they must have incest on the brain. anyway, yeah.
No, but it's seems to be a good one!
I haven't heard that song before but, I have heard a country song something like it about a dad that wasn't ever home and the little boy asked the mom why dad was always gone and why he would leave when ever his boss would call and she explained to him that he gets paid for working and he will go when his boss calls because he gives him a paycheck the same as money and then one day, the little boy had gone into his piggy bank and took out a dollar I believe and gave it to his dad and asked if that was enough for him to play with him. I want to say that the name of the song is called No charge or something like that. It is so sad. Is your song a funny song or a meaningful one?
I remember hearing the song before. It's old isn't it?
