Breastfeeding, still no period after 18 weeks, on "mini" pill but keep forgetting, spotting and cramping?

Sorry if this is TMI. I gave birth to my son 18 weeks ago and I have been breastfeeding. I started taking the "mini" pill (progesterone only) 3 months ago. I've missed al least one pill each month. I've had spotting before when I fotgot my pill, but never pinkish/brown with cramping. I had sex the morning after I forgot my pill and the spotting/cramping showed up 2 days later. What could be causing it? Could I be pregnant?

Answer:
I doubt it. The "mini" pill is trying to give you your period but the breastfeeding is causing your period to stop. If you want your period back, ask your doctor to switch you to a new pill. However, just because you have your period does not mean that you have started ovulating again. As long as you are breastfeeding, your chances of pregnancy are greatly lowered.
you could be pregnant yes, breastfeeding greatly reduces the risk of you getting preggers again however its not 100% and neither is the pill, and defently if you miss one and then have unprotected sex the following day!
