14 wks pregnant. Father illegal. Does not want baby; said he'd be "responsible". Can I terminate his rights?

For 3 months after I told him, he said he was w/me, going to marry me, buy a house, integrate our families, etc. Week 12, he changed his mind. Over the telephone. I knew he was the father; he doesn't want baby so he insisted on DNA testing; I had a CVS performed. It confirmed he is the father. Thought he might come around, but after 4 years he now doesn't want anything to do with me;he said he's being a good man because he will be responsible. Meaning I guess a couple of $$ per month, and then will take the baby when he wants? He's possibly now going back to his ex. I do not want my baby in this situation. He doesn't want her anyway. I need to file a restraining order so he doesn't just show up at my house, etc. as he has done in the past.He doesn't want me or the baby, so I want to know he has to stay away. HE IS ILLEGAL FROM COLUMBIA. Can I either 1) have his rights terminated 2) if I would offer the baby up for adoption...I am divorced, 42, with 3 other children...could he stop me?

Answer:
dont give up the child because he doesnt want you... it wasnt just him who brought this child in the world... you need to take your responsibilities and just take his rights away from your child so he cant see her or be around her
States are all different, but in Indiana if a father has not seen his child in 5 or more years, you can take them to court and terminate their rights. You may contact your local court and find out.
First thing to do is call immigration and turn his butt in. If he gets shipped back to Columbia, he won't be around and your problem is solved.
Because you had the test done he can stop you from adopting the baby out. You cant get his rights terminated the court will not allow that because they want him to pay child support as he should. But that gives him rights to the child. My suggestion is to turn him in to INS maybe they will deport him.
I am confused. If he is an illegal, why not call INS and have him deported?

All the questions you have are a matter of State Law. What is true in California may not be true in another state. I suggest you speak with an attorney. Some cities have hot lines where you can have a brief talk with a lawyer free. You may also want to speak with a District Attorney. Both of those courses should be very inexpensive or even free. If you need to file papers with the court or do something else of a legal nature it will probably require an attorney.

Good luck, I hope this works out to your satisfaction.
First of all, That is your child. He is illegal and wants nothing to do with the kid. He lost his rights, right there.
I would take him to court and make it legal. He is illegal so he has no rights.
You can put that baby up for adoption if you need to. If you keep it, you must take him to court. Make him pay. He was a player in the game.
I dont see how he can stop you.. What can he do. Take you to court? I doubt someone illegal wants anything to do with the courts. I wouldnt worry about him, i would take him in tho.
He isn't going to stay around I'd say call this number and tell him all the information on him
