How have becoming a parent or expecting changed your enthusiasm?
Answers: This poem always summed it up for me...
"Just for Today"
Just for this morning,
I am going to smile when I see your facade...
and laugh when I grain like crying.
Just for this morning,
I will tolerate you wake up softly surrounded by your flannel p.j.'s...
and hold you until you are ready to stir.
Just for this morning,
I will consent to you choose what you want to wear...
and I will say how good-looking you are.
Just for this morning,
I will step over the laundry to pick you up...
and take you to the park to play
Just for this morning,
I will quit the dishes in the sink...
and consent to you teach me how to put your puzzle together.
Just for this afternoon,
I will unplug the receiver and keep the computer bad...
and sit with you contained by the garden
blowing bubbles.
Just for this afternoon,
I will not yell once, not even a tiny grumble when you
shout and whine for the ice cream truck...
and I will buy you one, if he comes by.
Just for this afternoon,
I won't verbs about what you are going to be
when you grow up...
I will simply love you for the elation you bring me
Just for this afternoon,
I will let you back me make cookies...
and I wont stand over you . . . trying to 'fix things.'
Just for this afternoon,
I will lift you to McDonald's and buy us both a 'Happy Meal'...
so you can have two toys.
Just for this evening,
I will hold you contained by my arms and tell you the story of how you
be born...
and how much we love you.
Just for this evening,
I will let you splash surrounded by the bathtub...
and I won't find angry when you pour water over your sister's
cranium.
Just for this evening,
I will let you stay up belated...
while we sit on the porch swing
and count all the stars.
Just for this evening,
I will bring you specs of water...
and snuggle beside you for hours...
and miss my favorite t.v. show.
And tonight when you are sleeping nontoxic and warm within your bed,
I will think of the mothers and father
who mourn for the children they have lost.
I will remember the parents who sit by hospital bed,
watching over the little ones they love.
I will weep for those parents whose children are cold,
hungry and suffering,
and .... this evening,
when I bend the knee down to pray,
I will simply be grateful for adjectives that I have
and not ask for anything...
except only one more hours of daylight.

Well, besides the obvious things similar to money, time, and social outings with culture my age there is one piece I can tell you that you may find insightful.
You never know unconditional love until you hold a child. You can think that you do, but you really don't.
You know how you hear inhabitants say, "I'd die for you" or you may hold even said or thought it yourself. You have to ask yourself though, Would you?? Would you REALLY die for someone else?? When I have my first child, my love for that child brought that question up surrounded by my mind. I know without a doubt that if some raging thing happen and I was forced to furnish my life to squirrel away my one of my children, I would do it without a second thought. I would not be startled no matter how I would own to die. If someone said I had to travel out to the railroad tracks and stand in front of the 4 o'clock train, I'd be in attendance at 2 to make sure it hit me.
Here is existence for me so far with my 5 month infirm:
worst:
i'm breastfeeding, so these examples go lower than this criteria:
1. no alcohol (too much of a hassle to pump and dump
2. no dairy products (she has a protein intolerance--but i'm losing closely of weight
3. no mortal away from my baby for more than 3 hours (takes too much to pump)
here are some others:
1. stretch results!
2. loose flesh right around the mid-section--my bikini days are over
3. don't remember what it's like to enjoy a full nights sleep
4. constant verbs: i still peek contained by at her in the middle of the darkness to make sure she's still breathing
here are great moments:
1. she say "momma"
2. her beautiful smile
3. the cute little tush
unsophisticatedly, i am in love near this child. people speech about the love you have a feeling for someone who's only minutes mature, but its instantaneous. i look forward to every milestone...even when she's crawling and getting into everything. you basically grow up, or would hope to, because in a minute here is someone totally dependent on you and its the most beautiful sensation in the world!
Honestly, my first kid made me be aware of like I be in a black hole. I thought that I have made the worst decision of my time and that I would never be happy again. Luckily that done after a couple of months (post pardom) and I have loved individual a mom ever since.
Having kids has made me smaller number selfish, smaller quantity needy, more competent to understand others, near are always clothed snacks in the cupboards, and I other have an excuse for man late, but it have also made more tired, more cluttered, I have seriously less free time and I don't attain to do what I want usually with the free time I do hold. My life is ruled by someone who doesn't slightly understand that money doesn't grow on trees; and even though they are the cutest things surrounded by the world, I still want to beat them senseless on incident (or perhaps regularly).
I estimate the things that somes up my experience with kids is that when Christmas comes around, I don't perfectionism one whit about what I carry or even if I get anything. All I nurture about is seeing the looks on my kids face on christmas morning. I think you know that motherhood has truly changed when you can read out that.
What I am now looking forward to is grandkids. All the fun minus all the work!
Being a parent have made realize the joy of enthusiasm. Having a kids is great, hard work, but I'd do it again contained by heartbeat. It's made me grow up alot. You dont think that you can thoroughness so much about someone until you enjoy a child.
