How can i dry up my breastmilk?

Answer:
Unfortunatly it's usually a bit of a frustrating thing.
You need to just stop all feedings and pumping. Your body will eventually just stop producing it usually takes a wekk or so.

Otherwise you can talk to your doctor and he might be able to give you meds to help.
Put some cabbage leafs in the freezer and them wrap them around your breast a few hours a day until its all gone. (your bra should hold the leafs in place) I breast fed my daughter this is what my docotor told me to do.
cabbage leaves,While I have never heard to put them in the freezer,I have heard to take them out of the Fridge nice and crisp..and put them into your bra..It will suck up all the moisture and BASICALY you'll be pulling COOKED cabbage out of your bra ::)
Only speaking from experience It dries up 2-3 days after giving birth if you dont breastfeed. I found they had to express some of my milk to ease the pain of the breasts being engorged. They used to give a tablet for it but not these days due to health risks. And if your boobs do get sore freeze some water soaked nappies and apply to your breast and or use cabbage leaves it helps immensely!
I made sage tea which really helped me. I opened up a tea bag and added about a teaspoon of dried sage. It doesn't taste bad either. That plus cold packs or cabbage did the trick in 2 days flat.
Doctor can prescribe meds...apart from that about 3 days of cold turkey from bub starts to slow them down
The doctor gave me a prescription because I chose NOT to breasfeed when my daughter was born. (oh boy here it comes I'm gonna get called on the carpet for that one)
Your body produces enough milk to feed your baby. If a baby nurses and drinks a lot, your breasts produce more milk. If you're weaning your baby, then your breasts will start to produce less.

Breast milk will dry up naturally if you're not breastfeeding or expressing milk, but it's very uncomfortable. Cold compresses can help (cabbage leaves, cold cloths). Also during the few days it'll take, you can express just a little milk once a day to stop your breasts from becoming completely engorged and painful.

If you want your breast milk to dry up immediately, that's fine. If you can do it over a slightly longer period of time, you can express a little bit a few times a day or feed your baby once a day, perhaps after he/she's had a bottle or other food.

If it's essential that your breast milk dries up immediately, there is medication, but it wouldn't be a good first choice because of related health risks.

Wishing you the best.
Why? It's the healthiest thing for your baby. And your man shouldn't mind either.
just stop breastfeeding.

why are you stopping? is your baby weaned already?

breastfeeding has many benefits. it can create a bond between you and your baby. it's the perfect milk for him/her, the temperature is just right and the nutrients found in it are the best. it also prevents the baby from sucking in air (wich can cause some problem like tummy aches)..as you've noticed sometimes when your using feeding bottles the baby doesn't get to suck in the milk first because the bottle is at an odd angle.

if you continue (no lapses) to breastfeed for 6 months, it would serve as your natural contraception. And the best benifit for a woman who just had a baby, if you breast feed continuosly, it will make you loose weight.
you can go to the dr and they can give you a pill that dries it up, but it has alot of side effects including breast cancer but really everything causes cancer lol i just let myself dry up it was really bad you know how your boobs hurt when you need to feed the baby, well imagine that with no relief lol i would be at work and go in the bathroom and get some of the milk out just for a little relief but you have to completely stop feeding and pumping either way or they wont dry up i think the pill is the best way to go my friend and my step mom used it and its way better than the cold turkey method my way hurt soooo bad wear tight bras and carry around lots of pads the leaking wont last long if you decide to dry up on your own around a week and a half maybe just a week good luck and God bless i know this is hard
I used breast pads, a sports bra and wrapped an ace bandage around my breasts, my doctor told me to do this with my first child. He also recommended ice for tenderness. Your breasts will get engorged, but should dry up quickly using this method. Also I have seen different support belts at babies r us and they had a special wrap for breasts. Good Luck
Tight bra..all the time. Even to bed.
