Has anyone else ever heard this.?
Answer:
It's alright to monitor your cervix, it doesn't hurt anything. It gets softer when you are close to ovulating, so some people use this method when ttc. If one is pregnant they should use caution to not strip the membranes if they have dilated as this can induce labor.
I have heard of it and it is not something that I know how to do or would suggest doing. I would think that if it needed to be checked they would do it at your prenatal appts and they don't, I would also worry that you would somehow stimulate the cervix and cause problems.
No I have hear of it I wouldn't do the check myself being that I don't know what to look for but for example my cervix was just checked the day before yesterday to make sure it wasn't dialated and that I wouldn't go into labor...I have also herd that there is a way to see if your cervix is "ripe" for pregnancy. I guess that the mucus membrane gets thinned out allowing the sperm to enter...
So don't feel weird! =] I hope that helped!
I know people who self check the cervix but unless you know what you are feeling for this will not help you. Also each time you self examine you are introducing germs and bacteria.
I haven't heard of this either. I think that the only people who should check your cervix are medically trained personnel who know what they are doing. (this is just my opinion though!)
I wouldn't go so far as to say that you are sick though, I think that person was just being mean!
I have nerver heard of that. I left that up to my doctor while I was pregnant.
