What is your opinion on egg donors. to help a couple have the gift of a child?

I myself am seriously considering doing this. I have three healthy chidren and i wouldnt know what i would do without them. I couldnt imagine the feeking of not being able to have children. I think it is the most wonderful gift i could possibly give someone. I dont think of it as giving one of my children away,i would only hope that someone would do that for me if it was the other way around. hats off to anyone who would do that selfless act for someone else

I think it's great. It's absolutely devastating to find out you can't have your own children.

I think it is a great idea. It's like giving a kidney to save someones life. It is one of the greatist gifts a person can give! I would do it for a family member. I'm not so sure about a stranger. I hear that it is very uncomfortable/painful for the doner.
Me personally l think it's a wonderful gift to give a couple a chance to have a child of their own. Being a parent is such a special experience, and if we can why not share it with those who can't.
As long as the donor is healthy and has no genetic problems then it's great.

I think that it is okay to do that but if they become pregnant with your egg when really it is your kid you cannot try to see them or find out about them.
Most people donate eggs for the money. Egg donars get up to 10 grand for doing this and i really believe lots of people do it for the simple fact of making money which is not bad at all either.
I have no problem with it. It is a private matter between the participants, and does not comprise any sort of moral issue.
I don't think I would be able to donate MY eggs to someone else, but I think it's a great for anyone willing to do so. It is a horrible & empty feeling when you’re incapable of giving birth.
why not? i see no reason to feel this is a contriversial issue at all. if i were unable to have a child by means of my own egg i wouldn't hesitate in the purchase of some from my local Endocrinologist. On that note, i wouldn't put my nose in the air to purchasing sperm if the need was there either!
modern medicine has so many WONDERFUL options available for couples that would have been childless for life.

I see no problem with the situation. I don't feel that it is immoral. It can really bring a gift into peoples' lives.
