What will I need or should I take to the Hospital with me when I have my dauther?

This is my husband's and mine first child and we dont know what I should have in my over night bag.And I am due in like 2 months.

Answer:
How exciting...

>insurance card and any hospital paperwork (try and get the hospital registration stuff done well ahead of time)
>Don't forget to enroll your baby within the limited time-frame required by some insurance companies (don't think the hospital does it for you)
>glasses/contacts
>brush, hair band and barrettes
>chapstick/Vaseline
>tooth brush & paste
>deodorant, and makeup
>shampoo & conditioner
>lotion/your skin care stuff
> bathrobe & nightgown (for after the delivery and open wide in front for easy breast feeding)
>slippers/socks
> Entertainment: Books, Magazines, DVD, Sudoko puzzels, etc.
>oils or lotions, music, an extra pillow if your into that
>cloths to wear home
>nursing bra, breast pads, and maternity underwear (you will still be big after the delivery)
>address book/cell phone/laptop/camera
>baby outfit to wear home

Partner should bring:
>Carseat (to pick the baby up)
>Money $$$ for parking and change for vending machines
>toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant.
>camera/video camera and film or tape or a memory card and batteries (unless forbidden by the hospital)

Also if you take a hospital tour before the delivery, ask if the hospital provides a suggested packing list. The hospital your going to may provide many things that you might pack and you can adjust accordingly.

Be kind and patient with yourself and your husband.
Congratulation on your new baby.
Usually the hospital gives the new moms a list but you need socks, slippers, night gown and rob, loose clothes to come home, tooth brush, make up, bath supplies.
For your baby you need diapers, receiving blankets, blankets, body suit, took and camera.
have the baby in the hospital is all i can tell you
good luck with your new bundle of joy and hope everything gose well
You should take some pjs and slippers, a camera, identification and insurance cards (just in case), an outfit for the baby to take pictures in and the baby's carseat.
Sometimes the hospital will provide you with things, but you always need to take your own anyway...
1. Diaper bag full of bottles, diapers, whipes, etc.
2. Baby's coming home outfit
3. carseat with an extra blanket, and head support
4. Robe, slippers, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, paste, make up, brush, any medicine you need, anyother stuff you use every day
5. pacifier you plan on using with baby, they always take the ones you give them at the beginning
6. maybe your camera to take pics, lol

Like I said, they'll give you made up bottles and diapers but you still may want to bring your own just to be safe.

Goodluck!
For labor: favorite music, lip balm, hard candies to suck on, hair ties if your hair is long, camera, pillow, a watch or timer, an object to focus on during contractions, things to keep your hubby occupied if it's a long labor

For recovery:
Your favorite toiletries, makeup, bodywash, shampoo, etc.
Hairbrush, toothbrush/toothpaste
heavy-duty maxipads (or you can use the hospital freebies--I didn't like them.)
Comfy pjs or nighties with easy access for breastfeeding, if you choose.
Socks, bras, undies (the hospital usually provides you with disposable panties if you want to use them)
Slippers or slipper socks
Your cell phone and call list
Baby book for recording memories and guests
1-2 outfits for your daughter--1 to go home in and maybe 1 for hospital pictures
Going home outfit for you...something warm and comfortable. It should be the size you were when you were 5 months along.
Car seat
