Why does What to Expect When You're Expecting is always is on best selling list since it a bad advice book and

so on

Answer:
Your guess is as good as mine.. Everybody thinks they need to read books about pregnancy and raising kids and that's simply not the way to do it. But then again, I'm probably one of the only one that thinks that way! Good luck to you
I found it to be a very good book myself
if it is bad advice, then it probably wouldn't be a best seller...
Why do you think it's a bad advice book?
I loved this book. I have used it during both of my pregnancies.
Bad advice?? How do you know, are you a doctor?? That book was written by experts. It has been my bible while being pregnant. If you are pregnant and consider that book to have bad advice, I am truly worried for the welfare of your baby.
I think that book has totally unrealistic advice about diet and is overcautious about exercise and a variety of other topics. Plus, it's kind of the "what could go wrong during my pregnancy?" book.

But I think it's actually a fine place to start looking for answers to questions. It just shouldn't be your ONLY source of information.
I found it to be a great book when I was pregnant. I read it 500 times I'm sure. Then, I purchased what to expect the first year, then I purchased What to expect the toddler years! It is great!
i dont think this is a bad book it actually is helping me through my pregancy it give helpful advice everymonth i get farther along then i read the questions for that months and it helps me get throught he month
Honestly, it's the only baby book that I have read cover to cover and I found it to be very informational. Personally, I hate all the doctor lead books that tell parents how to raise their children, put them on all these rigid routines, and how to set themselves up for failure.
Bad advice? I loved that book! I am rereading it this time around to refresh my memory. There was very little I couldn't find the answers to in there. My doctor recommended the book to me and I am glad I bought it. I even got the What to Expect the First Year for after my daughter was born...and AGAIN a GREAT book! So many questions are adressed and answered! Did you have a bad experience with the book or just hear people talking junk?
I agree it isn't a very good book. And although it is written by "experts" that doesn't make it good. Some of the advise isn't good, and some of what it has to say seems obvious.

However, things that seem apparent to some aren't always clear to everyone. So, to each there own :)

The "What to Expect" books, I consider to be along the lines of "idiot guides for _____"

Which would be WHY it's on the best seller list...

At least in my opinion :)
