Postpartum periods?

I had my baby 5 weeks ago and I am breastfeeding, very rarely supplementing with a bottle...my question is how long after birth did it take for your period to come back? and when it did comes back, was it normal? i have light brown discharge...unusual for my periods but maybe normal after pregnancy? i have no idea...

Answer:
Well in my situation my periods returned to normal, I got my first real period 1 month after I had my son and it lasted 2 weeks, the next month they returned to normal only lasting like 3-4 days and have been normal ever since. Keep in mind everybody is different and if your concerned talk to your doctor.
I had my son 6 months ago and my periods are still screwed up.
