Should people who are 16 years old be allowed to do anything they want to their Owen bodies?
Answer:
I'll assume that your 16 because your asking this question, first thing learn to spell. Then worry about can you do whatever you want with your body. This is my opinion not only as someone who was once 16 but someone who has a 16yr old nephew that I raised and as a mother. NO YOU CAN NOT! Until you are out on your OWN you must follow the rules of the home you reside in. And I highly doubt that at 16 if you go out and get all these body modifications that at age 19 or even 21 you'll still want them. Wait until you are older, wiser, more mature and aren't doing it to be part of the "bandwagon"
no
Yes, if they are living on their own and supporting themselves. Otherwise, no they need to listen to their parents.
Well it depends on what your parents think but you should maybe wait till you are wiser because you its hard to undo things.
Explain to me what Owen bodies are......
No. 16 year olds are too stupid to make that kind of decision that will affect their bodies for the rest of their life. I know.. I have a tattoo that I got when I was 16 and have regretted it since about a week after I got it.
No because body image in High School is far different then body image later in life. Shoot in High School I would have loved to have many piercings and tattoos. Now, as a mother, I'm so glad that I didn't get them. There isn't anything wrong with tattoos or piercings BUT there's a time when you know exactly what you want to do with your body and it's not as a minor.
If they're emancipated minors, yes. If not, they should follow the rules and guidelines of their parents or guardians. I'm sure there are plenty of people who have gotten tattoos in their teens and come to regret it. Waiting until 18 won't kill anyone and could prevent some ugly tat jobs. Then again, I know people in their twenties who recently got ill-advised tattoos.
One thing for sure though, do NOT get the name of your girlfriend or boyfriend tattooed on you at the age of 16! You'll wind up explaining it to the next 27 or so people you date.
They should not have the freedom. They are still children.
At 16 you are only concerned about the here and now. the future and adulthood seem so far off. But trust me, time flies by.
I know so many people who got tattoos as teenagers, and they are so stupid looking now... very juvenlile. At least with a piercing you can take it out when you're sick of it (and you will get sick of it)... but then you will always have a scar to look at.
well, you may want to, but tattoo and piercing places make you sign a legal contract stating that they are not responsible for what happens to you as a result of the procedure (infection, body rejecting the piercing, etc.) and in order for them to go ahead with the procedure, you have to either be 18 or have your parent sign the waiver. so, unless you can convince your parents to sign the waiver, i'd stick to just expressing yourself through fake tattoos and dying your hair until you are old enough to rebel the way you want to.
Who is owen and why do 16 yr olds have his body?
No. You are not grown. Sorry. Stop being in such a rush to grow up.
Hopefully the person doing the "tatooing" of the "owen" body can spell correctly. Any Questions?
As a pierced and tattooed mother of three, I'm gonna surprise you and say no. Tats last forever, at 16 you really aren't prepared to understand the full meaning of what that does to your body and what that can mean to your future. If you pick a design, or a place for a hole, my best advice is think on it for 10 years (no matter when you first picked it) If you still really want it for ten solid years, then you probably won't mind it at 80.
Sure.. they should be allowed to do anything they want.. just as soon as they get out of the parents home, get a job, and thier own place
It fully depends on their living arrangements.
If you live with your parents (in other words live off of your parents) then you need to live by their rules.
If you live on your own (not owen) pay your own rent, pay for your own food, pay your own utilities and so on, then you should have the freedom to make your own choices.
The thing is, especially with tatoos, people who are 16 may think it cool now but may not weigh (or even recognize) all of the down sides that must be considered. And parents, more often than not, will take more into consideration.
But again if your taking care of your own then you should be able to make your own choices. Within reason.
no, they would SO regret it later.
I say no. They are too interested in what their friends and others think at that age and will do whatever to be in the popular crowd. It's dangerous because some people regret it when they get older. . .
I was eighteen when I got all my piercings, I have a total of 13.
Piercings, yes, within reason (when you take the stud out, the hole generally heals), but tattoos, no, they're permanent. I know a 19-year old who just had a huge tattoo of his favorite rock band put on this upper arm. He assured me he'd be loyal to them "forever." I give the band about a year before they disband. Then what?
I know what the world looks like through your eyes, guy. I was that age once, too. Yes, it's your body, but you haven't been around long enough yet to know what's good for it, and you've got plenty of time ahead of you.
no
nope that's why there are are of majority laws in every country
SURE, & MAKE SURE WHEN YOU COMMIT THE CRIME THAT PUTS YOU IN PRISON FOR GOOD, DON'T DO IT IN TEXAS WE TAKE THE DEATH PENALTY SERIOUSLY!
no not at 16. At 16 i thought so but i feel different now. They are not sure what you really want at that age
