Moms to be nervous about labor?

Hi. I am asking a question but I just thought that if we could maybe rant too that it might help. Are there any other moms out there nervous about their impending labor? I know I am. This is my third baby in 5 years but I feel more nervous with this one than I did even my first. I am now 2 days overdue so that is not helping. I am nervous about labor, I am afraid that I won't be able to push this time. I feel like I completely forgot how to care for an infant. I am afraid that I do not have enough love to go around. I don't know how my three year old daughter will respond to the new addition. Boy, the one time in your like when you can't safely have a drink or a valium and it's the time when you need it the most. I just wondered if there were any others out there that had any feelings or wanted to vent.
Before anyone gets upset, I am very happy just nervous.

It's normal to have anxiety when a big event is impending. You are trying to prepare yourself for something you really can't predict. It's hard for your brain to wrap around the idea of labor and how a new baby will change things.

I am a tad nervous, but I know I will get through it. Talk to me when I am closer to term and I'm sure I'll be more anxious.

Oh, and please don't just schedule a c-section. While they seem easier there are more risks involved for both mom and baby than in a vaginal birth. I would have a c-section only if it was neccesary. I work in neonatal intensive care and Ithe c-section babies have more problems than the vaginal babies, especially with their breathing.
yes, it's very nerve-wracking, because you just can't predict what will happen. Even for seasoned moms, because every labor and delivery is different.
I am 32 weeks and pregnant for the first time and extremely nervous about labor and delivery. I try and educate myself as much as possible but you never know what to expect until you get there and that is what scares me. I just hope everything goes fairly smoothly and I don't have to have a c-section but who knows anything can happen.
yes i am im 33 weeks and cant wait till my bubs born but im terrified bout giving birth to my little boy i just dont want to loose him
?Sorry I cant get out of this question, so dont mind this
Just schedule a Cesarean since your overdue anyway. The aftercare and pain isn't that bad and you don't have to endure hours of labor.
I felt like this with my second son,its so normal. You know whats coming as you`ve done it before. The way i dealt with it was to just go with the flow as the baby will come out one way or another.Iwas 10 days late with my first and 4 with my second, labour is like a lottery they are so different. If it makes you feel better i had my second who was 9lbs 5oz and no stitches, just listen to yor midwife and your own body.Good luck and you will be a super mum just believe in yourself.Im doing all over again as pregnant if god spares.
